From vision to reality!

The Highlight Active Wellbeing Hub in Hartlepool is due to open today.

Chemplas are proud to have delivered the roofing, cladding and glazing package for this fantastic community project, helping transform the architect's vision into a modern facility that will support health, fitness and wellbeing for years to come.

The photo shows one of our team members holding the original architect's visual of the project – a great reminder of how every successful building starts with an idea before becoming a reality through teamwork, expertise and dedication.

A huge well done to everyone involved in delivering this landmark development.

Here's a sneak peek at how the Highlight Leisure Centre at Hartlepool is progressing. This video shows off the stunning anodised aluminium shingles in AluGold 00, 01 and AluNatura. Manufactured and supplied by Sotech Optima and installed by Chemplas Ltd.

Designed by GT3 Architects, Highlight’s strong linear lines are inspired by the railway tracks which ran from local timber and coal yards into the former dockland site during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The building grows in height from west to east and offers incredible views of the wider waterfront site, marina and sea.

We tried to do a serious Christmas photoshoot but everyone was just too cheerful.

The drawings are signed off, the inbox is (almost) under control, and the Christmas jumpers are out in force.

From the Chemplas office team, thank you to everyone who’s made this year run smoothly — site teams, clients, and suppliers alike. We’re proud to support the work that gets built on site every day.

It’s not quite our last day but for now, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a well-earned break.
