🔥 Something new in consumer unit safety…

Most people don’t realise there are now small fire suppression devices that can be fitted inside a fuse board.

If a fire starts within the consumer unit, the device automatically activates and helps suppress the flames at source.

We now offer this as an optional upgrade on new consumer unit installations, alongside modern RCBO protection, surge protection and fire-rated enclosures.

It’s a simple, low-cost addition that can add an extra layer of safety and peace of mind—especially if your consumer unit is located in a hallway or near your main escape route.

⚡ Is your fuse board showing its age?

We recently upgraded an older consumer unit for a customer in Newcastle, replacing it with a new 11-way FuseBox RCBO consumer unit complete with surge protection ⚡ and a fire-rated enclosure 🔥.

Before carrying out the upgrade, we thoroughly tested all existing circuits to ensure they were safe to reconnect. Once the work was complete, we provided an Electrical Installation Certificate 📄 along with the required Part P Building Regulations Certificate.

The new consumer unit offers:
✅ Improved electrical safety
✅ Better protection against electrical faults and power surges
✅ Spare capacity for future electrical additions
