Whilst carrying out a gas safety check on a Potterton Titanium boiler, I discovered a faulty burner seal allowing products of combustion to escape ⚠️

🛠️ Faulty seal replaced
🔍 Boiler fully checked
✅ Appliance made safe

🔥 Gas Fire Decommissioned & Made Safe 🔧

Today I decommissioned a gas fire for one of my lovely customers, getting everything safely prepared for the next stage of their work.

✅ Initial tightness test carried out
✅ Gas fire removed
✅ Gas pipework cut and capped
✅ Second tightness test completed
✅ Installation left safe and ready for the customer to continue with the works

Another job completed safely, professionally and with the customer’s needs in mind. 👌

💥 Teamwork makes the dream work! 💥

Helping out my good pal Gas & central Heating Services yesterday on a job where we needed to up-rate the gas pipework due to the original installation being undersized.

With a big void underneath the floor, there was only one way to go… down we went! 😂🔧

The added bonus? We managed to carry out the work with minimal mess and disruption for the customer, especially important with their laminate flooring.

Great job, great teamwork and another one sorted! 👊

⚠️ Fault Found

Central heating pipes were found to be heating up when the hot water was running.

🔍 Diagnosis

The diverter valve was found to be faulty and was preventing the boiler from operating correctly.

🛠️ Work Carried Out

* ✅ Faulty diverter valve replaced.
* 💨 During the repair, the automatic air vent was found to be leaking.
* 🔧 Leaking automatic air vent also replaced.

✅ Outcome

Both faulty components were replaced, addressing the issues identified during the service and restoring correct boiler operation.
