Following our successful installation of the hybrid pitch at AFC Bournemouth’s new training facility, White Horse Contractors is proud to continue working with the Club at the Vitality Stadium.

Built to the same proven specification, the project includes a new hybrid playing surface, upgraded irrigation, new undersoil heating and improved pitch-side infrastructure—creating the ideal environment for elite football throughout the season.

Yesterday we continued our long-standing support for the Turf Business Education Lab at Haileybury - Tes Boarding School of the Year 2024.

Dry summers often create winter drainage problems

Prolonged dry weather can harden the ground, making it harder for heavy autumn rainfall to soak away.

A bright future awaits AFC Bournemouth, both on and off the pitch.

This summer, White Horse Contractors is proud to be reconstructing the playing surface at the Vitality Stadium ahead of the 2026/27 season. Following the club’s historic qualification for European football, the close-season is shorter than ever, making the project programme even more critical.

The existing hybrid pitch has now been removed, with works including the installation of a new GrassMaster Solutions stitched hybrid pitch, a modern undersoil heating system, upgraded irrigation infrastructure, and enhanced pitch-side facilities.

Our team is working to deliver the project within a compressed timeframe, ensuring the new surface is ready for the start of an exciting new season.

The foundation for the new season is officially in place. ⚽

The installation of the new PlayMaster hybrid carpet by GrassMaster Solutions at Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth FC, is now complete, delivering the perfect foundation for the pitch to establish and thrive. Over 6000 m² of carpet were laid in just 2 days by our dedicated team on site ahead of topdressing and seeding.

Our specialist drainage team is installing primary and secondary drainage for the new pitch project, using our Mastenbroek trencher and GKB Machines bv DrainMaster to build the perfect drainage system for the GrassMaster Solutions PlayMaster hybrid carpet pitch.

Work at Fratton Park, home of Portsmouth FC Football Club, continues to move forward at pace 👷‍♂️⚽

With the old pitch now removed, preparations are underway on the subbase before installation of the primary and secondary drainage systems begins.

This new pitch profile has been designed to improve drainage capability while also enhancing the viewing experience for supporters seated pitch-side.

⚽ Back at The New Den! ⚽

We’re delighted to have returned to Millwall FC stadium to carry out their end-of-season pitch renovation works.

Our team arrived on schedule to remove the old playing surface before beginning sand spreading and seeding, helping to create the foundations for another season of football.
