⚠️ TRADE TIP ⚠️
Been coming across this way too often on jobs lately — 32mm P traps fitted with an AAV (air admittance valve), and the blue transit cap is STILL ON.
That cap is only there to protect the valve during transport/storage. Leave it on and the AAV can’t do its job — no air in, no relief of negative pressure, and you’re left with slow draining, gurgling, and trap seals getting pulled.
If you’re installing or servicing traps with an AAV, check for that blue cap and take it off. Two second job, but it makes all the difference to performance.
Simple check, save yourself a callback. 🔧
