James and Rebecca did the double this September! 🏃‍♀️

Our Directors James and Rebecca took on both the Great North Run and Robin Hood Half Marathon, just two weeks apart, to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, a cause very close to their hearts, in memory of their much-loved friend Ian.

They took on this epic challenge to continue Ian's wish of raising vital funds and awareness for this devastating disease.

⚡ When an RCD keeps tripping, there’s usually a reason!

We were recently called out to a property following reports of an ongoing tripping issue.

Fault finding isn’t always straightforward, but on this occasion our electrician didn’t have to look for long before finding the culprit…

From the front, the RCD looked perfectly fine. It wasn’t until it was removed that we could see the extent of the overheating and burning 🔥

If this had gone unnoticed, the overheating could have caused further damage and potentially resulted in an electrical fire.

Thankfully, the issue was identified and the damaged RCD was replaced before things became more serious.

If your RCD keeps tripping, don’t just keep resetting it and hoping for the best. It’s there to protect you, so get the underlying issue checked by a qualified electrician.

🚨 Theft of EV Charging Cables in Warsop 🚨

We are aware of reports of electric vehicle (EV) charging cables being stolen in the Warsop area.

If you own an electric vehicle, please take steps to protect your property:

🔒 Remove charging cables when not in use where possible.
🔒 Store cables securely and out of sight.
🔒 Consider security lighting, CCTV, or video doorbells to deter offenders.
🔒 Be mindful of suspicious activity around parked vehicles and charging points.

Please remain vigilant and look out for any unusual behaviour in your neighbourhood. If you see anything suspicious, report it to the police.

Anyone with information relating to these thefts is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police via: 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

Your information could help identify those responsible and prevent further thefts in our communities.

After outgrowing our current unit, we’re excited to announce that FS Electrical is moving into a new unit! 🏢⚡️

More space. More room for stock. More opportunities. And plenty of room for the business to keep growing. 📈

⚡ Protect your EV charger from cable thieves! ⚡

We’ve received a high volume of calls and message recently from customers concerned about EV charging cables being targeted for their copper — and unfortunately, they’re not exactly coming round to borrow them! 😅

There are a few ways you can make your EV charger more secure:

🔌 Go untethered – No permanently attached cable means there’s nothing sitting outside ready to be snipped off.

🔒 Lock it away – A lockable metal enclosure can be installed around your charger for an extra layer of protection.

💡 Add security lighting – Motion-activated floodlights can make your driveway a lot less appealing to anyone up to no good. 👀

🎥 Consider CCTV – Visible cameras and smart alerts are another great deterrent.
