You do not need loads of spare time, a fancy workshop or any previous experience to start learning upholstery.
Most people who join our Foundations of Upholstery course are already juggling work, children, family life and everything else that comes with being a busy human.
Some of our students are neurodivergent. Many tell us they feel as though they’ve lost touch with their creativity somewhere along the way.
That’s exactly why we designed Foundations differently.
Instead of rigid weekly classes and the pressure of trying to keep up, you’ll receive one guided upholstery module each month from October through to March.
You can learn properly, at your own pace, around real life.
There’s no comparing yourself to everyone else, feeling behind or pressure to work at somebody else’s speed.
This is your journey, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
Over the course, you’ll make six actual products — pieces people genuinely want in their homes — while learning a huge range of transferable upholstery skills along the way.
And each month, we’ll meet live on Zoom. These sessions are brilliant for accountability, support and keeping your momentum going, but they’re about so much more than just upholstery.
