We recently removed an old leaking Alpha boiler and replaced it with a brand new 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 boiler for our customer while they continue their full house renovation.

This one turned into much more than just a bathroom renovation after discovering an 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗸 from the old bath/shower had caused 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀.

We removed the full bathroom, installed new floor joists and fully re-boarded the room to 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 💪🏼

We also found the existing soil pipe had originally been installed above floor level, preventing the shower tray from sitting flush to the floor. We altered and repositioned the pipework to allow the low-level tray installation exactly as the customer wanted 👌🏼

Works completed included:
✔️ Full waterproofing throughout
✔️ Bathroom wall panelling installed
✔️ New shower and enclosure fitted
✔️ Vanity sink unit with concealed toilet system
✔️ Wood-effect worktop fitted to match the new flooring
✔️ New towel rail installed
✔️ Ceiling dropped and panelled for a sleek modern finish

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🚿🔧

Today was all about the 𝗿𝗶𝗽-𝗼𝘂𝘁… and it turned into a bigger job than expected.

Once we started removing the tiles, we discovered 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 to the walls, they were soft, spongy, and clearly compromised.

After taking the bath out, things got even worse… the floor joist had 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵, you could literally put your fingers through it 😳

We also noticed the floor had started to drop due to the damage. At that point, we removed the rest of the bathroom and tiles to fully assess the situation. We’ve arranged for a joiner and plasterer to inspect and get everything back to a 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱.

Tomorrow the 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 begins to make the floor 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻, followed by boarding the walls ready for the next stage.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆… but we’ll get it sorted properly 👍🏼

Busy few days here at Walker James Heating & Plumbing Ltd 🔧🔥

We’ve just completed our 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 today!

This one was for one of our regular customers who’d had a few call-outs over the past year. With a faulty pump repair coming in at £450, they decided it was the right time to upgrade their system instead of continuing to patch it up.

We’ve installed a brand new 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 with a 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘆, along with a 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 and 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀 — giving them a more efficient, reliable heating system and better control over their energy use 🙌🏼
