Since launching, our focus has been simple: ultra-rapid, low-cost EV charging powered by 100% clean, green energy, delivered by connecting charging hubs directly to the point of generation. To be recognised among such strong entries from across the EV infrastructure sector is a real honour, and a credit to the dedication of our whole team.

John Moisey joins the Greenwheel team as Senior Development Manager at an exciting time of accelerating growth for the business. With more than 15 years’ experience in the renewables industry, John brings a wealth of expertise across all aspects of client and development management.

During his career, he has delivered more than 0.5GW of renewable energy developments through varying stages of the project lifecycle, from initial site identification and development through to planning, construction and operation. His experience includes Environmental Impact Assessment coordination, the preparation and submission of major planning applications, and specialist knowledge in acoustics and noise control.

John's extensive hands-on experience in identifying and developing wind and solar opportunities and proven track record of delivering renewable energy projects will further strengthen Greenwheel’s development capabilities as the business continues to grow its portfolio.

Update from Thursday 17 Sept - works have been completed.

For one day on Monday 14 Sept, roads leading to the two roundabouts on the A82 at Lomondgate will be restricted to fewer lanes. However, all traffic routes will remain open.

This is to allow Scottish Water to undertake routine inspection works across the local network. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but these checks will help inform a responsible and efficient construction approach.

Progress across all five pillars will be tracked with our contractors and partners, so accountability isn't just a promise — it's built into how we work.

Last week we met with Kenneth Gibson, MSP for Cunninghame North, to discuss our vision of 100% clean, renewable EV charging infrastructure in Scotland.

As we progress with our plans for the ultra-rapid hub and solar developments at Hunterston PARC, this meeting was a fantastic opportunity to share how our proposed hub will directly benefit North Ayrshire, creating local amenities and delivering low-cost, ultra-rapid EV Charging🔋

This Wednesday is EV day, a significant milestone marking exactly one year since the launch of the UK's Electric Car Grant (ECG), highlighting the economic realities of the UK's transition to electric vehicles . 🚗⚡

Statistically, by July 15th, the average petrol driver has officially spent more on fuel than an EV driver will spend on charging for the entire year.

To sustain this financial advantage for drivers, the UK needs infrastructure that pairs speed with affordability. As we progress through our current planning stages this summer, we remain committed to this mission🔋
