Emotionally I’m drained…
Recently I blocked out an afternoon in my hectic diary to sweep the chimneys belonging to my 3 sisters, A day I have been dreading if I’m being truthfully honest. My first time walking back through the door of my sisters house since we laid my nephew Blake to rest 7 months ago. It was tough, very tough, because I knew the welcome was never going to be the same without him there but I knew I had to overcome the hurdle at some point to keep my family safe & warm as we head into the colder months.
Grief in itself is a silent killer & something I have always struggled emotionally & mentally with since losing my father 6 years ago & truth be told I honestly don’t know how to deal with it. Some days are good & you remember the good memories you made with your loved ones, but most days unfortunately it feels like a dark cloud of heartache you constantly carry with you. I know I ain’t alone with feeling like this because I have had numerous conversations with my clients who deal with the same problem, it’s nothing to be ashamed of nor should it be something we are afraid to speak about, but in today’s society it’s looked at as a weakness if you speak out about problems you struggle with, when in fact it takes more bravery & courage to speak out about your feelings & struggles in life…
For those of you in the same boat as myself, keep going, keep fighting because you all are a lot stronger than you think… 🙏❤️🩵
