Today we attended the 'What Next' 2026 Careers Fair at Ysgol Y Gogarth, alongside around 200–250 learners from 11 ALN educational settings across the whole of North Wales ❤️
The day gave ALN learners the opportunity to explore different industries, meet employers and discover the pathways that could be available to them after leaving school. The learners took a liking to our solar powered toys and we had a lot of interest in Construction/Renewable Energy roles - bringing up important conversations about the future of our world and how we can all make a difference.
But today wasn’t only about asking young people “What Next?” — it was also about asking ourselves, as employers and organisations, “What can we do next?”
These events open up valuable conversations between the organisations in the room. They give us the chance to make important new connections, share ideas and speak honestly about what may still be missing. By understanding what other organisations are already doing — and where the gaps remain — we can discover new ways to work together, strengthen the support available and create even more meaningful opportunities for young people and our wider communities👷♀️
No single business or organisation can do everything alone. But when we come together, share our knowledge and connect with the right people, we can achieve so much more!
