A 1960s bungalow, a barn and a Cotswolds setting full of potential.
Yesterday, we were on site carrying out a measured survey and getting to know the place a little better.
Understanding how the light moves, where the best views open up and how the buildings sit within the landscape helps us design a home that feels right for its setting and the people living there.
Our clients’ ambitions bring together three exciting elements:
1) Remodelling and retrofitting the existing bungalow.
2) Converting the southern barn.
3) Creating a bespoke self-build home worthy of this beautiful location.
With several elements to consider, having a clear plan from the outset matters.
Following our first consultation, we developed a staged planning strategy to help our clients understand the route ahead, manage planning risk and feel confident about their next decisions.
Now we move into the design process: exploring different site arrangements, building forms and internal layouts before developing the elevations and materials. Each step will test how we can make the most of the site and create spaces around the way our clients want to live.
