EV Charger Competition – Helios Electrical & Solar Terms & Conditions
The Prize
The winner will receive an Untethered NRG 7kW EV charger supplied and installed by Helios Electrical & Solar.
Installation Requirements
The prize includes the installation and commissioning of the EV charger only.
The EV charger must be installed within 5 metres of the existing consumer unit or electrical meter cupboard and the existing electrical installation must be suitable for the charger installation.
Additional Costs
The prize does not include any additional electrical work, materials or remedial works that may be required to complete the installation. Any additional works or costs identified by Helios Electrical & Solar will be discussed with the winner before work is carried out and will be chargeable to the winner. Examples of additional works may include, but are not limited to, cable runs exceeding 3 metres, upgrades to the consumer unit, earthing requirements, remedial electrical work, groundworks, trenching, specialist access equipment or upgrades required to the existing electrical supply.
Site Survey
A site survey may be required before installation. Helios Electrical & Solar reserves the right to determine whether the property is suitable for the installation.
Installation Standards All installation work will be carried out by appropriately qualified installers and in accordance with applicable electrical regulations and manufacturer requirements.
Prize Transfer
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
Installation Location
The prize is subject to the property being within Helios Electrical & Solar’s normal installation area and the installation being technically feasible.
Right to Decline Installation
Helios Electrical & Solar reserves the right to decline installation where the existing electrical installation, property or electrical supply is deemed unsuitable or unsafe.
Acceptance of Terms
By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions. Helios Electrical & Solar reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition where reasonably necessary.

Another impressive project completed — 24 solar panels delivering around 11kW of solar generation, combined with a 30kWh SigEnergy battery storage system.
This system has been designed to give the customer greater control over their energy, allowing them to generate, store and use more of their own electricity.

This customer already had solar panels installed, but their existing string inverter wasn’t suitable for adding battery storage. So we upgraded the system to a hybrid inverter, opening the door to a smarter way of using their solar energy.

🔋 Why make the switch to a hybrid inverter?
Instead of letting excess solar energy go to waste or exporting it to the grid, the customer can now store that energy in a battery and use it when they need it -including during the evening when their solar panels aren’t producing.

When you've just finished another quality Fogstar Energy battery installation, there's only one logical way to celebrate...

By recreating a battery stack themselves.

We recently installed an 8kW Solis inverter alongside a 32kWh Fogstar battery, giving our customer a huge amount of energy storage capacity and greater control over when they use their electricity.

Check out that white Fogstar battery!

With a 32kWh battery, the customer can store electricity when it’s cheaper and use that stored energy when electricity prices are higher, helping to reduce reliance on peak-rate electricity and make the most of cheaper tariffs.

We’ve just installed a 6kW Solis inverter paired with a 16kW Fogstar Energy battery, helping our customer take greater control of their energy usage and reduce their electricity costs.

The battery can be charged during the evening when electricity rates are lower, storing that energy ready to be used when prices are higher. This means the customer can make better use of cheaper electricity and rely less on expensive peak-rate energy.
