Domestic Plumbing & Heating Engineer�Company: Blue Flame MK LTD

Blue Flame MK LTD is looking to expand our team and is seeking an experienced Domestic Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our growing business.
About the Role:�This is a varied role working across domestic properties, covering everything from routine maintenance to full system installations. You’ll be working on a range of modern and traditional systems, including renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• General maintenance and servicing of domestic heating systems
• Plumbing repairs and installations
• Underfloor heating installations and maintenance
• Bathroom installations
• Working on renewable heating systems (training can be provided where needed)
• Diagnosing faults and providing effective solutions
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in domestic plumbing and heating
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills

Desirable (not essential):
• Gas Safe registered
• Experience with renewable systems (e.g. heat pumps)

Recently had the privilege of travelling to Denmark thanks to Danfoss Climate Solutions and the Heating Installer Awards.

The trip started at the factory in Silkeborg then we headed over to Sønderborg where we visited Danfoss house before heading to HQ in Nordborg where we had the chance to see some of the innovation shaping the future of heating and cooling. Highlights included the Smart Store, a deep dive into decarbonisation technologies, and visits to the Turbocor showroom, data centre and HEX station.

It was particularly interesting to see how Danfoss are developing advanced compressor technology, heat recovery solutions and high-efficiency systems aimed at reducing carbon emissions while improving system performance. A real insight into the role installers will play in delivering the transition to more sustainable and energy-efficient heating.

We also had the chance to walk through the historical founders house (Danfoss museum), including the founder’s office, before we finished the tour back at HQ in the final office of Mads Clausen (founder) which really took you back in time.
It was a great look into the company’s history and global impact on heating innovation.

A huge thank you to Danfoss Climate Solutions for the hospitality and to the Heating Installer Awards team for organising such a fantastic visit.

Great experience, great company, and plenty to take away from the trip.
