A MASSIVE PROJECT COMPLETE – HANSLOPE VILLAGE HALL!

What a job this has been! 💪

We’re incredibly proud to have completed the re-roofing of Hanslope Village Hall, it was a massive project and a really special one for all of us at Better Roofing.

As a local business, it means so much to be able to work on a building that plays such an important part in our village and its community. The Village Hall is a place where so many people come together, and being trusted with a project like this is something we’re genuinely grateful for.

It’s been a huge job, with plenty of hard work, teamwork and a few challenges along the way, but it’s also been great fun and incredibly satisfying to see it all come together. We were also lucky with the weather, which definitely helped!

A project of this size is never down to one team alone, so we want to give a massive shout-out and thank you to everyone who helped make it happen:

Hanslope Village Hall Committee– for trusting us with such an important project.

And a special thank you to the neighbours who kept an eye on the site and showed an interest in what was going on. It’s great to have that kind of community support! 🙌

To everyone who played a part, whether on the roof, behind the scenes or supporting us along the way – thank you. Jobs like this take a lot of people working together, and we really appreciate every bit of help.

We’re proud of the finished result, proud to be a local business, and proud to have played our part in looking after such an important building for Hanslope.

I am running the RNLI Tower Run to raise money for the RNLI HEROES, who have been made to fear for their lives and the safety of their families because of these balaclava-wearing bullies and cowards.

These people are literally heroes, and we should all be grateful to them for risking their lives to save others. Some of the stations have had to close because of the abuse they have been receiving.

If you can spare anything to help me raise money, I would really appreciate it!

Better Roofing - Milton Keynes – will match any donations made!

Thank you!

I'm taking on the RNLI Tower Run 2025, please help me reach my fundraising goal of £250

Spotted out in the wild...

An Irish roofer, working in England, looking like he's just stepped off the plane from Australia.

The sun hat might not be traditional roofing gear, but on another scorching day working on roofs locally, it's definitely earning its keep.

The jobs don't stop when the temperatures rise – just plenty of water, plenty of sun cream and a few practical hats!

Stay cool out there if you're working in this heat! ☀️

A recent dormer project completed right here in the village where Better Roofing is based. Featuring a lead rose at the bottom of the dormer windows 🌹

This was a sizeable job that involved extensive lead work, with every dormer carefully dressed and finished to a high standard. Colm, our owner and lead roofer, completed the lead work himself, including the handmade lead roses that finish each dormer with a traditional touch.

We're proud to be trusted by homeowners in our local community and it's always great to complete projects close to home. If you live locally, have a look out for the roses as you are out and about.

Thanks to Matt farr scaffolding Ltd for providing safe and reliable access throughout the works.

Another slate re-roof completed by the Better Roofing team, this time on a property in Lathbury, near Newport Pagnell.

The existing roof was replaced using high-quality Spanish Zamora slate, giving the home a durable, traditional finish. We also installed new fascia, soffits and gutters to complete the project and leave the property looking its best.

A big thank you to Walls scaffolding for providing safe and reliable access throughout the job, and Keynes Roofing Centre for always getting us the best roofing supplies at great prices.

A recent project completed for our clients in Wicken featuring two new dormers, finished with Cedral fibre cement cladding for a clean, low-maintenance finish that complements the property perfectly.

From the roofing work through to the dormer cladding, our team took care of every detail to deliver a high-quality result built to last.

If you're planning a roofing project in Wicken, Leckhamstead or the surrounding villages, get in touch with Better Roofing to see how we can help.

A little extra detail from the team on this recent slate roof. 💎

As a finishing touch, our roofers surprised the customer by incorporating a diamond pattern into the slates. It's a traditional feature that takes a bit more time and care, but Colm and Ben had a lot of fun with this and were really pleased with the outcome. The customer certainly was too!

Another great job completed by the Better Roofing team. We hope the customer enjoys the finished result for many years to come.

Also included some photos of the insulation that was added during the re-roof and a before picture so you can see the transformation!
