An Irish roofer, working in England, looking like he's just stepped off the plane from Australia.

The sun hat might not be traditional roofing gear, but on another scorching day working on roofs locally, it's definitely earning its keep.

The jobs don't stop when the temperatures rise – just plenty of water, plenty of sun cream and a few practical hats!

A recent dormer project completed right here in the village where Better Roofing is based. Featuring a lead rose at the bottom of the dormer windows 🌹

This was a sizeable job that involved extensive lead work, with every dormer carefully dressed and finished to a high standard. Colm, our owner and lead roofer, completed the lead work himself, including the handmade lead roses that finish each dormer with a traditional touch.

We're proud to be trusted by homeowners in our local community and it's always great to complete projects close to home. If you live locally, have a look out for the roses as you are out and about.

Another slate re-roof completed by the Better Roofing team, this time on a property in Lathbury, near Newport Pagnell.

The existing roof was replaced using high-quality Spanish Zamora slate, giving the home a durable, traditional finish. We also installed new fascia, soffits and gutters to complete the project and leave the property looking its best.

A big thank you to Walls scaffolding for providing safe and reliable access throughout the job, and Keynes Roofing Centre for always getting us the best roofing supplies at great prices.

A recent project completed for our clients in Wicken featuring two new dormers, finished with Cedral fibre cement cladding for a clean, low-maintenance finish that complements the property perfectly.

A little extra detail from the team on this recent slate roof. 💎

As a finishing touch, our roofers surprised the customer by incorporating a diamond pattern into the slates. It's a traditional feature that takes a bit more time and care, but Colm and Ben had a lot of fun with this and were really pleased with the outcome. The customer certainly was too!

Another great job completed by the Better Roofing team. We hope the customer enjoys the finished result for many years to come.

Also included some photos of the insulation that was added during the re-roof and a before picture so you can see the transformation!

We’re not supposed to have favourites… but if you ask Colm, lead work is definitely up there.

There’s a real skill to getting it right—shaping, fitting, and making sure it not only looks good but lasts for years to come.
