We are incredibly proud to hold a zero complaints record.

For C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, this is not just a statistic. It reflects the way our team approaches every project, every site and every client relationship.

Keeping clients happy comes down to doing the basics exceptionally well. Clear communication, careful planning, tidy and respectful working practices, reliable delivery, thorough testing and a proper handover all matter.

In healthcare, education and specialist environments, those standards become even more important. Clients need to know that the team on site understands the building, respects the people using it and takes responsibility for the quality of the work being delivered.

Our zero complaints record is something we value highly because it represents trust, consistency and the effort our team puts in every day.

It is a standard we are proud of, and one we work hard to maintain.

World Mental Health Day 2026

This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change”, is an important reminder that mental health conversations need to start with listening.

In any workplace, but especially across busy site environments, people can experience pressure in different ways. Long days, responsibility, deadlines, travel, physical work and the need to stay focused can all have an impact.

For C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, supporting mental health means helping to create a working environment where people feel able to speak honestly, look out for one another and ask for support when they need it.

Real change starts when people feel heard.

This World Mental Health Day, we recognise the importance of listening, checking in and continuing to build a workplace culture where wellbeing is taken seriously.

Featured in HEFMA Pulse 📖

C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd has been featured in the Sept/Oct 2026 edition of HEFMA Pulse, in a specialist compliance feature for healthcare estates and facilities professionals.

The article looks at the growing complexity of compliance across healthcare estates, with C&B Electrical contributing insight on the latest updates to the BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.

In particular, the feature highlights Amendment 4, including the significant revision of Section 710 covering medical locations, greater alignment with HTM 06-01 and the introduction of standardised Equipotential Bonding Busbar testing documentation.

For NHS Trusts and healthcare estates teams, these updates are not simply technical changes. They affect how compliance is evidenced, how maintenance strategies are planned and how electrical safety is managed within live clinical environments.

The feature also reinforces the importance of resilience within estates teams, including the role of Authorised Persons and Authorising Engineers, deputy AP planning and long term competency development.

It is great to see C&B Electrical included in a publication dedicated to the people responsible for keeping healthcare estates safe, compliant and operational.

Energy efficiency is an important part of improving the built environment, but it cannot be treated in isolation.

CIBSE has highlighted the need to balance retrofit, insulation and building performance improvements with ventilation, overheating risk, air quality and occupant wellbeing.

In other words, a building cannot simply be made more efficient on paper. It has to continue working well for the people inside it.

This is where mechanical and electrical coordination becomes so important.

When people think about healthcare environments, they rarely think about the infrastructure quietly supporting every room, system and service.

These images show switch room infrastructure at Milton Keynes University Hospital, including the systems and equipment that help support power distribution, resilience and reliable operation across the wider site.

While spaces like this are never seen by patients, visitors or many of the people using the building day to day, they play an essential role in how healthcare environments function.

From electrical distribution and containment to specialist equipment and backup systems, every part needs to be carefully installed, clearly organised and ready to support the environment it serves.

For C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, work like this reflects the importance of precision, planning and technical experience in the spaces people rely on, but rarely see.

Upgrading an existing building requires a different kind of discipline.

The project rarely starts with a blank canvas. It starts with the infrastructure already in place, the way the building is currently being used and the limitations that may only become clear once work begins.

In healthcare, education and commercial environments, this can include live services, occupied areas, older systems, restricted access, documentation gaps and the need to minimise disruption for the people relying on the building day to day.

That is why refurbishment and upgrade work should never be treated as secondary to new build. It requires careful investigation, practical judgement and the ability to integrate new infrastructure into spaces that are already functioning.

For C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, this is where experience matters. Good upgrades do not work against the building. They work with it, helping existing spaces become safer, more reliable and better prepared for what they need to support next.

External lighting plays an important role in how healthcare sites are used, especially across areas where staff, patients, visitors and vehicles are moving throughout the day and evening 🔦

These images show the C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd team carrying out external lighting works at Milton Keynes University Hospital, supporting visibility, access and the wider usability of the site.

While lighting is often only noticed when it is not working as it should, it forms an important part of creating safer, more practical environments for everyone using the space.

From high level access works to the details inside each fitting, projects like this show how essential infrastructure sits behind the everyday operation of a busy healthcare setting.

Good project delivery is not only measured by what has been installed.

For clients, particularly in healthcare, education and specialist environments, confidence comes from the process behind the finished work. It comes from knowing that risks have been considered, access has been planned, communication has been clear and each stage has been delivered with the wider building in mind.

Testing, documentation, compliance and handover are not just administrative steps. They are part of the evidence that allows a client to trust the installation long after the project team has left site.

For C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, this is where technical work becomes assurance. The outcome matters, but so does the discipline behind how that outcome is achieved.

Behind the scenes on one of our healthcare projects in Manchester, with the C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd team carrying out electrical infrastructure works across the site.

These photos show the team working around ceiling voids, containment, cabling routes and building services, the kind of detail that sits behind the finished clinical environment.

In healthcare settings, these areas can be complex. Electrical work needs to be coordinated around other services, existing layouts, access requirements and the wider needs of the building.

It is a good example of the planning and practical site experience needed to deliver safely and efficiently within specialist healthcare environments.
