Dear customers, I waited to publish this post as I wasn’t sure about the imminent future. Arthritis in my hands took a turn that I wasn’t expected so early, I new was coming, but I was hoping it would be later rather than earlier. After a consultation the advice has been an operation if I want to continue to be a plumber. As a result I’m taking a break, please don’t give up on me!! I’ll be here for any advice and visit if you need an idea about costs for big or small jobs. I’ll keep you updated, the recovery after the operation will take few months so I’ll keep you posted with the progress. To all of you please stay safe and look after yourself and your dear ones!!

To all my customers and not: please leave the heating on at 15 degree during the night, check all your pipes in the loft to be sure they are insulated properly if they are not use some foil and blankets to cover them and insulate them. If you don’t have water in some of your appliances it means that the pipe going to that appliance is frozen. Try to isolate the pipe you think is frozen, before the temperature goes up. Please monitor the pipes between Saturday and Sunday when the temperature will be going up. Don’t leave the house unattended between Saturday and Sunday. If there is any unexpected leak, please close the main water and empty the loft tank by opening all the taps. Please keep safe and call me if you need help. I can’t come out as my van is not working (typical), but I can assist and give advice. Regards, Raffa

As the lock-down is still in place, I'm working on how to be able to deal with my customers requirements. I'm doing my preparation to possibly resume some activity and appointments at the beginning of June.
If that will happen, this is how it will happen:
1. I'll only have one appointment per day no matter how long or short it is just to eliminate cross contamination.
2. The space where I'll be working needs to be emptied out to avoid multiple handling of toiletry or cleaning products etc.
3. I'll be wearing a ffp2 mask, gloves and at the first approach a plastic shield.
4. While working I'll ask you to keep the recommended distances and where possible have a dedicated way to the van.
5. Upon finishing of my job I'll be wearing the screen again, I'll take you through the job and be sure that you are happy with the results.
6. If you dealt with me before you know that I communicate step by step if the cost of the job changes as I found the issue. In this time where I'll try to keep contact to the minimum it won't be as good as usual. I'll try to keep you updated, but essentially I'll try to finish the job and update you at the end.
7. In regards to payments, I won't accept cash or cheques. Bank Transfer using bank details in the invoice (which will be send to you electronically) and PayM which it can be done using telephone number. If you are not familiar with PayM, ask your bank as all of them are now using that as electronic payment.
I hope that is acceptable for you and remember that all is done to protect you and your family as well as myself and my family.
