MEET BRYN 👋

You may have seen this over on our sister company Distinct Build but we wanted to introduce the team here too.

Our Associate Director, who joined the Distinct team in May 2026.

With 20 years’ experience across the estimating and construction industry, Bryn brings a wealth of organisational, commercial and industry knowledge to the team. He started his career with a commercial roofing and cladding company, working his way up to become an Estimating Manager before bringing his experience to Distinct.

Outside of work, Bryn is very much a family man. He enjoys watching rugby, cooking and perhaps most importantly spending time with his wife and children. 🏉

Bryn married his wife, Sam, in 2016 and together they have two children. He’s also known Russ for an impressive 30 years after meeting at the rugby club and with their sons being the same age, it seems history is repeating itself as the boys now play rugby together too!

We’re pleased to have Bryn as part of the team and look forward to seeing his experience and knowledge continue to help Distinct grow. 🏡🔨

MEET BRAD 👋

You may have seen this over on our sister company Distinct Build but we wanted to introduce the team here too.

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the team, Brad! 🔨

Brad has joined us with a real love for first fix carpentry and he particularly enjoys working on our garden rooms, something we’re sure he’ll be getting plenty of experience with!

When he’s not on site, you’ll usually find Brad playing golf, watching football or pretty much any other sport going ⚽️⛳️

He’s also a big family man and when he’s not spending time with the family, enjoys getting out and about with his mates.

We’re really pleased to have Brad on board and look forward to seeing him get stuck into plenty of projects with the team. Welcome to the team, Brad! 👊

MEET ARCHIE 👋

You may have seen this over on our sister company Distinct Build but we wanted to introduce the team here too.

Archie joined the team in October 2025 and has been going from strength to strength ever since! 💪

With bags of confidence, knowledge and skill, he’s quickly become a brilliant part of the team and we’re excited to see what’s next for him!

Archie’s favourite part of carpentry and building would be kitchen fitting and bespoke cabinet making. He’s also happiest tackling a complex cut roof. With zero fear of heights, he’s given me a few heart attacks with how casually he wanders around up there.

When he’s not on site, you’ll probably find Archie on the golf course ⛳, hitting the slopes 🎿 or out socialising with friends 🍻

COMPLETE | NEWTON LEYS ✨

And that’s a wrap on this garden room in Newton Leys!

The cladding is now fully complete, giving the exterior a clean, modern finish, with the decking finished to complement it perfectly.

Inside, the walls have been painted and the space is ready to be enjoyed all year round, with air conditioning installed to keep it cool through the summer and provide heating during the colder months.

We’ve also made the most of the side storage, with a subtle hidden door that blends neatly into the exterior. Outside, lighting and power have been installed to make the space practical both day and night.

A great transformation from a concrete base to a fully finished, comfortable and versatile garden room. 🔨✨

PROGRESS | NEWTON LEYS 🔨

Plenty of progress on this garden room with side storage! 👏

The concrete base is down, walls are up and the laminate flooring is now laid. Inside, the walls have been plastered and are ready for decorating, while externally the cladding is going on to give the building its finished look.

We’ve also got the anthracite windows and doors fitted, bringing plenty of natural light into the space while keeping everything looking sleek and modern.

It’s really starting to come together now, just the finishing touches to go! ✨

MEET DAVE 👋

You may have seen this over on our sister company Distinct Build but we wanted to introduce the team here too.

Dave is our OG team member and has been with us since August 2023 when it was just Russell as ‘R Hardman Carpentry’. Dave has seen the company grow and change over the last three years and has been a loyal team member throughout.

Dave is a Dad of five and Grandad of one, a true family man ❤️

He has a passion for history, building and creating things. Dave enjoys practical work and solving problems, he is often the man we go to to think of another way round a problem.

Outside of work, Dave is fascinated by history, particularly Viking history and World War II. As you can see from the photos, Dave volunteered at Bletchley Park for many years, learning about the people, battles, technology and stories that shaped the world we live in today.

Dave is also into 3D printing, motorcycles and flying his drones but is happiest when spending time with his family.

PROGRESS | GREAT HOLM

Almost there on this lovely garden room in Great Holm! 🤎

The perfect space for our customer to practise Reiki in a peaceful and dedicated space. ✨

Wrapped in ‘Barnwood Grey’ Durasid Foresta cladding and paired with anthracite doors, windows, fascias and soffits for a sleek, modern finish.

Just the finishing touches to go and we’ll be handing over the keys! 🗝️

MEET JAY👋

You may have seen this over on our sister company Distinct Build but we wanted to introduce the team here too.

Jay joined the Distinct Build team in November and has quickly become a valued part of the company.

With years of carpentry experience, Jay is passionate about creating bespoke furniture and high-quality work. A self-confessed perfectionist, he always goes the extra mile to make sure every customer is happy.

His experience also includes building sets for major productions and brands, including Wicked, Snow White, Google, Meta and OMEGA. He has worked on the Paris Olympic Games and helped create Barbour’s 50th-anniversary exhibition in Covent Garden, bringing creativity and attention to detail to every project.

Outside work, Jay is a talented artist, a family man and a keen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. He has competed in BJJ and continues to train regularly, alongside enjoying hobbies such as rock climbing, archery, MMA and fitness.

Jay is excited to continue developing with Distinct Build, growing his skills and building a long-term future with the team.

His approach is simple: take pride in the work, do it properly and make sure the customer is happy!

COMPLETE | NEWTON LEYS

Wow. What a space! 🤩

Inside, we laid a warm premium laminate flooring which compliments the fantastic orange feature wall beautifully.

We fully plastered the interior to create a clean, bright finish, before completing the full electrical installation both inside and out. We also fitted an infrared ceiling mounted glass heating panel, keeping the room lovely and toasty during those colder winter months. 🔥

The finishing touches were completed by ‘JW Painting & Decorating’, who brought the space together with the decorating, including that fantastic orange feature wall. 🧡

The result is a bright, comfortable and practical space, the perfect home office for our wonderful customer to work from.

Another garden room designed and built to make the most of the space available. 🥰
