Why access matters on garden projects
When planning a garden project, most people naturally focus on the finished design - the paving, planting and overall layout.
One of the first things we assess during a site visit, however, is how materials and equipment will reach the garden.
This often influences how a project is organised and how smoothly the work progresses once construction begins.
Typical considerations include:
• Space for material deliveries such as paving and aggregates
• A suitable area for temporary storage on site
• Waste removal during excavation
• Access routes for machinery and equipment
In Milton Keynes many gardens have narrow side access, which means careful planning is often needed before work begins.
Compact equipment such as micro diggers can often pass through tighter spaces, and in some situations temporary access can be created by removing and refitting fence panels where appropriate.
Thinking through these practical details early helps keep the project organised and allows steady progress throughout the build.
As with all our projects, we work on one garden at a time, ensuring the site is carefully managed from the first stage of groundwork through to the finished garden.
