EMERGENCY WORKS | MAIDENHEAD
You may have seen in the news this week reports of a devastating fire in Maidenhead town centre on Monday night, (24.08.2026) which has had a significant impact on families, friends, local residents and the wider community.
One of our Company Directors received the initial call on Tuesday. By Wednesday, one of our Contracts Managers was attending an urgent site meeting alongside the emergency services, local authorities, the council, the building landlord and other parties involved.
Today, Team Merlin commenced the emergency scaffolding works, working closely with everyone involved to ensure the necessary access and safety measures are put in place.
Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, the impact on those affected and the ongoing investigations, we will not be sharing photographs of the site at this stage.
Despite currently being extremely busy across our existing contracts, we immediately reorganised our programme to ensure we could commit the necessary resources and respond to this emergency without delay.
Of all the scaffolding contractors available, Merlin Scaffolding was once again called upon and awarded these important emergency works. We are proud to be trusted when a rapid, professional and responsible response is required.
Most importantly, our thoughts are with the families, friends, local residents and everyone affected by this awful situation.
