Busy day at the Coulltrees site today. Full inspections of all 10 hives. 2 splits required to prevent swarming. Alpacas are fully booked with bank holiday walks and we’ve managed to finish the poly tunnel!

Today we finished our last large planting job for the 25/26 planting season. 8000 native hardwood trees planted in 1.2m bio tubes. These trees were planted along the Edinglassie burn that runs into the River Deveron. This work was completed alongside the River Deveron trust who are working hard to protect our native wild Salmon. This project along with the trees also included widening the banks of the water course with new fencing to allow a decent depth of trees to be planted. It was a fantastic project to be involved with as we were able to specify the species, planting density and stake and tube specs. Big thank you to everyone involved it was great effort seeing it through to the end. We even had help from our youngest volunteer aged 10 Oscar where not even the 5:30 starts phased him. Well done! We’ve now finished our large planting projects for this season but we are already booking up for the 26/27 season. If you have any projects in mind but would like some advice please don’t hesitate to contact us. 🌳 🌲
