EPISODE 1 – THE BURST FADE! ✂️

Welcome to something new here at High-Cuts!

I've decided to start sharing more of my journey through Level 3 Barbering, showing you the styles I'm learning, the challenges I'm taking on and how my skills develop along the way!

🔥 First up is today's burst fade!

Working on a training head, I focused on creating that curved fade around the ears while keeping plenty of length and texture through the top and back.

I'm really pleased with how this one turned out!

Barbering isn't just about cutting hair. It's about constantly learning, improving and challenging yourself.

And this is just the beginning! 💪

What a day at Salon International 2026! 💈✂️

Had an absolutely brilliant day today checking out Salon International, seeing some incredible work, watching demonstrations and picking up plenty of ideas and inspiration along the way.

Of course I couldn't come home empty-handed either 😂 — a few new bits of kit and products will be making their way into the High-Cuts setup!

Days like today are a great reminder that there's always something new to learn in this industry. Now it's time to put some of that inspiration into practice! 💈🔥

Another fresh cut from High-Cuts, and it's been a proper day of fading 😂💪

Really happy with the progress I'm making — every head is different, every haircut gives me something to work on, and I'm loving seeing my fades getting cleaner and more consistent.

3 skinfades today and plenty more practice towards my competition work! 🏆💈

✂️ Something a little different today!

Today's Level 3 training was all about the Mod Cut 💈

Working with longer lengths, layering, shape and texture — then finishing with sea salt spray and texture powder to bring out the movement.

Really enjoying getting pushed outside of my usual comfort zone and adding more styles and techniques to what I can offer through High-Cuts.

Always learning. Always improving. 💈✂️

💈 MODEL NEEDED – FREE FULL WET SHAVE 💈

I’m looking for ONE model for a full traditional wet shave as part of my Level 3 barbering training.

🎓 For my Level 3 training at west Suffolk college
💰 Completely FREE

You’ll need to have enough facial hair growth for me to perform the full wet-shave service, so please avoid shaving beforehand.

🎈🪒 Level 3 Training This Week!

This week we got our first proper practice with cut-throat shaving using the balloon method — shaving foam, razor and trying very hard not to hear a BANG! 🤣

Really enjoyed this one and it's another traditional barbering skill I'm adding to the toolbox as I work through Level 3. 💈

Great day practising alongside the others too — plenty of laughs while still learning the proper technique, razor control and safety.
