Another MultiSec order getting ready for dispatch. 🏗️
Our latest order of heavy duty jacking and support stools has been completed, tested and prepared for the client within a four-week turnaround.

Engineered for heavy-load support and jacking applications, each stool can support up to 250 tonnes when used with the correct loading arrangement and setup, with a 50-tonne jacking capacity per stool.

Each unit also provides a 900×900 mm support area and a 200×200 mm point-load area, giving the customer a robust engineered solution for demanding support and jacking requirements.

From production through to testing and final preparation, the MultiSec team has supported the order throughout the four week turnaround.

MultiSec Jacking & Support Stools are engineered for heavy load support, packing and jacking applications, with each stool capable of handling loads of up to 250 tonnes when used with the correct loading arrangement and setup.

With a 900 × 900 mm support area, they provide a robust engineered solution for demanding applications where controlled load support is required.

We currently have 12 available across two sizes, eight at 800 mm and four at 1000 mm, at a special sale price of £2,000 per unit.

Another MultiSec order prepared for Germany, with Multi-110 and Multi-170 modular spreader beams heading to our distributor, HLR. 🇩🇪

30 years of Durham Lifting. A milestone that belongs to far more than one person.

For Amanda Gardiner and Paul Gardiner, this milestone is an opportunity to look back at three decades of Durham Lifting, from its beginnings in 1996 to the business, team and engineering capabilities that stand behind the name today.

There have been major projects, new facilities, investment, innovation and plenty of change along the way. But at the heart of those 30 years are the people.

The family who have grown alongside the business. The team who bring their knowledge and experience every day. The customers and suppliers who have put their trust in Durham Lifting. And everyone, past and present, who has played a part in getting us here.

As Paul recently reflected: “We are extremely proud of our history and of the business our team has built.” Thirty years is a moment to appreciate everything that has gone before, but Durham Lifting’s story is still being written.

From Amanda and Paul, and everyone at Durham Lifting, thank you for being part of the first 30 years. Here’s to what comes next.

Last week, Amanda Gardiner represented at SaxonAir Private Air Travel for the launch of the Localiq UK Clean & Green Awards 2027. 🌱

Hosted by Insight Energy, the event brought together businesses from across the energy and sustainability sectors, with RWE returning as headline sponsor.

It was also a great opportunity to see Durham Lifting featured in the latest edition of Insight Energy, celebrating 30 years in business, our growth within the energy sector and the family foundations behind the company.

Almost 200 years of engineering, restored for the future.

Durham Lifting is proud to have played a part in the restoration of Whorlton Bridge, which officially reopened last week.

Our team has supported the project since 2024, carrying out structural testing on original components to assess their integrity and identify potential points of failure. This testing helped inform decisions around which historic components could be retained as part of the restoration.

Originally opened in 1831, Whorlton Bridge is Grade II* listed, placing it above Grade II status, and is also protected as a Scheduled Monument.

Managing Director Amanda Gardiner attended the official reopening and was among the first to walk across the restored bridge, seeing first hand a structure our team has helped preserve for its next chapter.

A significant project for the region, and one we’re incredibly proud to have contributed to.

A piece of engineering history, back in use.

Durham Lifting is proud to have played a part in the restoration of Whorlton Bridge, which officially reopened last week after years of closure.

Originally opened in 1831, the bridge is Grade II* listed, placing it above Grade II status and is also protected as a Scheduled Monument.

Our team has been involved in the project since 2024, carrying out structural and pull testing on historic components to assess their integrity and help inform decisions around what could be retained as part of the restoration.

Managing Director Amanda Gardiner attended the official reopening and was among the first to walk across the restored bridge, a significant moment for the communities it reconnects across the River Tees.

We’re incredibly proud to have contributed to preserving a structure with almost 200 years of engineering history behind it.
