At Birmingham Airport and got chatting to a guy from Kenilworth who is a keen walker and knew about the Millennium Way. He knew John and Lesley from Solihull who were wardens. Does anyone know them. It’s a small world.

The Millennium Way Kenilworth Circular hosted the second Walk into Light on Saturday morning at 5.30am. Approx 50 people set out in the dark and finished in the light. Symbolic of mental health struggles. Weather was perfect and atmosphere magic. 25th September next year!

On Saturday morning at 5.30 prompt we are providing the route for the second Walk into Light on our Kenilworth Circular number 24
If you fancy joining just come along for 5.15 ready to start. It’s symbolic of a mental health journey from darkness into light. There is no cost just come along. It’s a magic atmosphere
Bring a torch and suitable walking gear. The walk will be led. Breakfast afterwards at the lovely Time for Tea cafe close by. You’ll be home by 10am latest to do the Saturday chores!!!

I've been out today checking some of the diversions we have in place around Offchurch and Hunningham. Our Offchurch East walk currently returns to Offchurch along the road because of HS2 works, but as you can see in the first picture the span of the bridge to carry the footpath over HS2 is now in place. I'm hopeful that it will be connected to the footpath in the near future and we will be able to remove that section of road from the route.

The section of the Millennium Way between Hunningham and Ridgeway Lane, also used by the Offchurch East circular, has always been a little tricky due the the need to walk along a section of the Fosse Way with no footpath. To avoid this, Hilltop Farm have kindly allowed us to walk through their grounds and I have amended the directions to reflect this. Apart from being safer and quieter, this new route passes right past the door of the café providing a welcome opportunity for refreshment. Today I sampled the Caramel Chocolate and Pecan cake, and it was excellent!

Circular Walk 42 Studley, bright September day, plenty of fruit in hedgerows for foraging, young pheasants scattering at our feet. Easy paths to follow and it's dry!

The Millennium Way committee met last night to discuss various matters including insurance, the web site, socials, County council repairs and our 49 strong team of Wardens. All looking good overall
