🚧 Garage Conversion – Day 2 Progress 🚧
Another productive day on this garage conversion, with some key structural elements now complete 👇
✔️ Suspended floor installed and set to correct levels
✔️ Floor insulation fitted throughout
✔️ 22mm moisture-resistant chipboard laid
✔️ Ceiling installed with loft hatch prepared
✔️ 18mm OSB boarded above – ready for usable loft storage
This space is well on its way to becoming a fully compliant bedroom, all carried out in line with current building regulations 👍
We’re making sure the customer not only gains a new living space, but also retains practical storage above – best of both worlds.
More updates to follow as this one progresses 🔨

Waterproofing done properly ✔️
Before any tiles go down, the most important stage of a shower installation is the waterproofing system.
On this project we’ve installed a fully tanked shower area using a professional waterproofing system and a Schluter linear drain, ensuring the wet zone is completely sealed before tiling begins.
Key steps included:
• Installation of a **Schluter KERDI-LINE bonded linear drain system
• Waterproof fleece membrane installed to the shower floor
• All corners reinforced with tanking tape and corner pieces
• Two coats of liquid waterproofing applied to the walls
• Membrane overlaps sealed to create a continuous waterproof layer
• Floor falls formed correctly towards the linear drain
This stage is completely hidden once the tiles are installed, but it’s one of the most important parts of the entire bathroom.
Unfortunately we’re often called in to fix bathrooms where this step has been skipped or done incorrectly.
At Bespoke Projects, we believe in doing things properly — even the parts you’ll never see.

🔨 An en suite we’ve been asked to put right.

The client invested a significant amount into this installation, but unfortunately a number of key elements were completed incorrectly.
Issues identified include: • Incorrect tile backing board installation
• Poor waterproofing preparation
• Inadequate fixing methods
• General lack of finishing standards
Bathrooms and wet areas must be installed correctly from the structure outwards — especially when it comes to substrates and waterproofing. These aren’t areas where shortcuts can be taken.
We’ll now be fully stripping this out and reinstalling it properly, ensuring it’s structurally sound, watertight, and finished to the standard it should have been from day one.
If you’re planning a bathroom renovation, make sure you’re choosing experience over promises.

Progress update on en suite number two 🔥
Plaster nearly dry.
Floor tiled.
Shower panels in.
Shower fitted.
It’s amazing how quickly a room transforms once the finishes start going in.
Grout next, then final detailing and we’re there.
Quality prep. Clean installs. No shortcuts.
If you’re planning a bathroom renovation in Wiltshire, drop us a message.

Bathroom renovation update 👌
Wall tiling in progress. This video shows what we’ve completed so far, using a tile levelling system to keep everything perfectly aligned and flush — especially important with large-format tiles.
One thing worth mentioning: we often find that some of the more budget-friendly tiles supplied aren’t always perfectly square or consistent in size. That can make achieving tight, uniform joints more challenging. A levelling system and careful setting-out make a big difference in getting the best possible finish.
Still more wall tiling to go, then we’ll be moving onto the floor tiles, followed by grout once everything’s set properly.
Coming together nicely 💪

Wet Room Preparation – Bespoke Projects
An older wet room project, but a good example of what really matters behind the tiles.
Full tanking, careful preparation, and attention to the details that make the difference long-term — not just something that looks good on completion day.
Wet rooms need to be done properly from the start. Get the prep right, and everything else follows.
If you’re considering a bathroom or wet room renovation, feel free to get in touch to discuss your ideas.
