🌲✂️ TODAY’S JOB – MAKING MORE SPACE & IMPROVING THE LINES! ✂️🌲

Another job completed today, with a couple of different bits of conifer work to open up the driveway and tidy up the overall look of the garden. 👌🌿

🌲 First up: we cut back the conifer growing along the driveway, working from the neighbour’s side. The customer wanted to create more usable driveway space, so we carefully brought the conifer back to give the driveway a little more breathing room while keeping everything neat and tidy. 🚗👌

🌳 Next: we tackled a conifer tree in the corner of the garden. This had started to affect the lines and overall appearance of the area, so the decision was made to take it down to wall height.

By bringing everything back into proportion, the space now feels much more open, defined and tidy. 🙌

It’s amazing what a bit of careful tree and hedge work can do — sometimes it’s not about completely removing everything, but cutting back and reshaping the right areas to make the space work better for the customer. 🌿💚

🌿✂️ TODAY’S HEDGE TRANSFORMATION! ✂️🌿

Today’s job was all about getting these Laurel and Conifer hedges back under control and looking their best again! 👌🌳

The Laurel hedge had become far too wide, so we reduced one side to bring it back to a much more manageable size, while giving the whole hedge a good cut and shape. ✂️🌿

Alongside that, the Conifer hedge was carefully trimmed and shaped, getting those lines looking neat, tidy and sharp again. 👌

There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking an overgrown hedge and finishing the day with it looking clean, balanced and properly maintained! 😍🙌

Regular hedge maintenance doesn’t just keep your garden looking smart — it also helps prevent hedges becoming too wide, taking over valuable garden space and turning into a much bigger job further down the line.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in producing a high standard of work. 👌

🌿 THE ROLE

🌳 Experienced Tree Surgeon / Hedge Cutter
✂️ Confident carrying out hedge cutting and tree work
🚗 Full driving licence required to travel to sites / our unit
🥾 Own PPE required
🛠️ You’ll use M.J.B Group machinery and equipment
📋 Relevant tickets / qualifications can be provided
🤝 Great team player with a good attitude
📅 Initially ad-hoc work, with the possibility of fixed days for the right person

💰 Pay – to be discussed depending on experience and qualifications.

🌿 Bamboo BE GONE! 😮💪

Before, During & After 📸

Today’s job was all about tackling a serious bamboo invasion! 🎋🌱

The customer wanted all of the bamboo removed from their garden, so our team got stuck in and carefully cleared it all out, taking down the growth and working through the dense root system to reclaim the space. 💪✂️

Once the bamboo was removed, we finished the job with stump grinding, grinding down the remaining bamboo stumps and as much of the root material as we could access to leave the area ready for its next chapter. 👌🌿

Bamboo can be incredibly vigorous and, if left unchecked, can quickly spread into surrounding areas — so removing it properly is the key to getting the garden back under control.

It was a tough job, but another garden successfully reclaimed! 🙌🏡

Now the customer has a clean slate and can start thinking about what comes next for this part of the garden. 🌱✨

🌳 Crispy, very dead Walnut tree safely removed! 💪🌳

Another challenging job completed by the M.J.B Group team 👌

This Walnut tree had sadly become completely dead and was no longer safe to leave standing, so our team carefully dismantled and removed it piece by piece, making sure the surrounding garden and property were protected throughout the job. 🪵⚠️

One of the biggest challenges was working around the existing tree house 🏡🌳 — but with careful planning, controlled cutting and plenty of precision, we managed to safely remove the entire tree without damaging the tree house! 👌🙌

All the timber was then processed down into manageable logs, leaving the site clear, tidy and safe again. 🪵🔥

A great example of why professional tree work isn’t just about cutting a tree down — it’s about planning, safety, precision and protecting everything around it. 💚

🌿 A Great Monday at M.J.B Group! 🌿☀️

We kicked off the week by getting out and about visiting some of our domestic garden maintenance contracts 🏡🌱

One of our customers is looking ahead and wanted to start putting a planting plan together for the future 🌸🌳 — so rather than simply choosing plants on the spot, we’ve been taking the time to properly consider the space, the existing garden, what will work well and how we can develop the planting over time.

We’ve been busy heading over to the nursery in Hilperton, Trowbridge, looking at different plants, discussing ideas and putting together a plan that will bring the garden to life over the coming seasons 🌺🪴

From choosing the right plants for the space, considering colour and seasonal interest, to thinking about how everything will mature and complement the existing garden — it’s all about getting the right plan in place before the planting begins! 👌🌿

We love being able to work with our customers not just on regular maintenance, but also on the long-term development and improvement of their gardens. 💚

Now that’s satisfying! 😍👌

This driveway had become seriously overrun with w**ds, so our team got stuck in and cleared it all back, removing the w**ds from the edges, cracks and surrounding areas to give the driveway a much cleaner and tidier appearance. 💪🌱

Once everything was cleared, we finished the job with a targeted w**d-control treatment to help keep those unwanted w**ds under control for longer. 🌿🚫

It’s amazing what a difference a good w**d clearance can make! The driveway instantly looks cleaner, sharper and much easier to maintain. ✨
