So ten years ago today, I had my van sign written with the logo my wife very cleverly designed for me, and that was the start of it all. Tools in the back and off I rolled. Lessons learnt along the way, still doing so now! But have done a great selection of work, met some great customers and other tradesmen along the way. Anyone who is self employed will surely know it is not easy, but it is worth it and to be ticking along nicely after ten years is as much as I could ask for.

Retro fitting a shower in place of a bath. Our customer didn’t want to completely overhaul the bathroom so we removed the bath and tiles, dropped in a bath sized shower tray, then fitted aqua panels in place of tiles. Grab rails and a seat have been fitted to give the customer the ability to independently use her nice new shower. All plumbing works were done by Pear Plumbing and heating, Alex Marr will be fitting a new floor now the work is complete, and the rest was done by MJF.

I had a customer ask if I could jazz this side gate up for her. Now, if I’d have tried to scrape, rub down and paint it myself, it would have taken me a month of Sundays! And it wouldn’t look anywhere near as good as it does now, after having taken it to Conqueror Industries in Royston. Julian and the team there provided an absolutely top class service and swift turn around time. Couldn’t recommend these guys any more if I tried. A very happy client.

My lovely new van only came with one key, needed a second one doing and opportunity came knocking today in the form of Engrave Cut and Copy. Dave was on site where I was working sorting out another key for one of the other tradesmen so I just floated the question “how much to do me a spare mate?” Spoke to his boss and within half hour, bang. New key. Great service, great guys and could thoroughly recommend to anyone. Auto locks and general locksmith’s. Spot on lads, thank you.

Have you got a space that’s just crying out for being made use of? This is exactly what we have done here. Odd shape, not really fitting for flat pack wardrobes etc so we built this whole unit as per the customers wishes to make the most of the space. Fitted a new door to access the loft space further along the wall, set a base onto the floor, then constructed cupboards to accommodate storage, hanging space and shelves internally. Customer is fitting handles once they have had it decorated. Updated photos of that will follow, but this gives a good idea for now of what we can do with these dead spaces.
