A recent project replacing some existing tiles, giving both the kitchen and utility room a fresh new finish.

From preparation and removal through to laying the new tiles and getting everything finished neatly, it was a proper transformation and one that makes a big difference to the overall feel of the space.

Another job ticked off the list, and another happy customer.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a project finally come together.

This bespoke oak cabinet was built to make the most of an awkward wall, turning unused space into practical storage that looks like it’s always been part of the room.

Made from oak-veneered plywood with solid oak details and finished in a durable hardwax oil, it’s one of those pieces that should still be looking great many years from now.

No flat packs. No filler panels. No “that’s close enough.”

Just furniture designed around the space, built properly, and finished with the attention to detail it deserves.

It’s amazing what we get used to.
Squeaky stairs. Creaks with every step. A staircase that just doesn’t feel as solid as it should.
This customer knew exactly what they wanted and asked us to install timber risers before their new carpet is fitted.
Every riser was individually measured, cut for a snug fit, and bonded into place to create a much stiffer, quieter staircase.
The best part though - walking up and down the finished staircase and seeing the smile on the customer's face when they realised the squeaks had gone.
That’s what this job was really about.
Not just fitting timber…

From awkward corner to practical storage.

This bespoke corner pantry cupboard was designed to make better use of an odd space, creating plenty of accessible storage without compromising the look and feel of the room.

Designed around how the customer wants to use the space day-to-day, every detail was considered to ensure the finished cupboard felt like it had always belonged there. Clean lines, practical storage, and a seamless finish that complements the existing room.

Projects like this are a great reminder that you don’t always need more space—you just need to make better use of the space you already have.

Engineered oak floor reinstatement, sanding & finishing completed this week following the removal of an internal wall.

It wasn’t about making the floor look brand new, but rather to reinstate the removed sections so the repaired area blended naturally back into the existing floor while keeping the original character and patina throughout the room.

Damaged sections were carefully replaced, integrated, sanded, and refinished to bring everything back together as one continuous surface.

Really pleased with how seamlessly the reinstated boards disappeared back into the floor once finished.

A more modern approach:

🔥 Floating fire
📺 TV mounted clean, not buried into the wall
🪵 Subtle panelling to add depth and texture

Less bulky.
More intentional.
Something that actually fits the room — not takes it over.
