🏡 FOUR DAYS, SIX VEHICLES AND 169 BOXES — ONE VERY SPECIAL MOVE! 🚚
Hi Everyone 😁 we hope your week is going well. The weekend’s nearly here, and we hope you have some lovely things planned!
Just before we came away we had the absolute pleasure of helping the wonderful Kath and Trevor relocate after 22 years in their much-loved home in Calver. It was a very sentimental move, so they chose our Full Packing Service, two-day Comprehensive Relocation and final Unpacking Service to make the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
It was a real team effort across four days, with treasured belongings to carefully pack, protect, move and unpack. Here’s how the job unfolded ⬇️
📦 Day 1: Full packing
Louisa, Alan, Owen, Matt and Simon carefully packed and protected the couple’s belongings. These included treasured artwork and ornaments collected during Trevor’s travels, a family grandfather clock, beautiful crystalware, a much-loved oak bar and special furniture pieces. We also packed the contents of their large garage, utility room and garden.
🚚 Days 2 and 3: The relocation
With eight team members and six vehicles working across the two days, we carefully loaded and moved the couple’s belongings, including all 169 boxes, furniture, garage items and garden contents. Protective floor runners and padded door covers were put in place to help safeguard the properties during loading and unloading.
At the new home, we placed the boxes in the relevant rooms, following Kath and Trevor’s instructions and the labels on the boxes. The furniture was positioned where they wanted it, and our team reassembled two beds, the kitchen table and their long veneered unit.
🏠 Day 4: Unpacking
Three team members helped unpack most of the couple’s belongings, carefully unwrapping their delicate artwork and ornaments and placing kitchenware and other room contents where Kath and Trevor wanted them in their new four-bedroom bungalow in Wickersley, Rotherham. We also took away the used boxes and wrapping materials, leaving them free to settle in and enjoy their new home. They kept a few boxes to go through in their own time.
A heartfelt thank you to Kath and Trevor, and their daughter, for making us so welcome over the four days. The team really appreciated the endless hot and cold drinks, biscuits, sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps and even a Greggs bake on unpacking day! 😊
