⚡️ Heating upgrade completed ⚡️

This job involved the removal and responsible disposal of 5x large Dimplex storage heaters, replacing them with 5x Rointe Kyros electric radiators with integrated WiFi, along with 1x Rointe Orion WiFi towel rail.

The existing double pole switches were also replaced with single socket outlets, providing the customer with additional convenient power points.

The Rointe Kyros heaters give the customer much greater control over their heating, with integrated WiFi allowing each heater to be controlled remotely from a smartphone. Heating can be adjusted from anywhere, schedules can be set around daily routines, and individual rooms can be controlled independently, helping improve comfort while avoiding heating rooms unnecessarily.

As part of the installation, the meter tails were also relocated to the peak side of the meter, providing the new heaters with a permanent supply rather than relying on the previous off peak storage heater arrangement.

A complete modernisation of the heating system, giving the customer much more flexibility, control and convenience. 🔥

⚡️ Saturday Job Complete ⚡️

Another job ticked off the list, and this one was certainly a warm one! 🥵☀️

We replaced the existing split-load RCD consumer unit with a new board, giving each circuit individual RCBO protection, along with SPD protection. (Forgot to take pictures!!!)

We also installed a new sub-main consumer unit in the carport, supplying:

🔌 4 sockets
💡 6 lights
🚗⚡️ EV charging point

A huge amount of hard work went into this installation, especially working through the heat!

A massive thank you to Tom for all his hard work on this one. It was a big job and having the extra pair of hands made a huge difference. 👏

Another installation completed, fully tested and left safe, tidy and ready to use.

Another recent job completed 🔧💡

I installed new external lighting combined with PIR sensors to help boost security around the property. It’s also a great way to light up the driveway and garden, giving you better visibility and peace of mind at night.

Inside, I fitted new downlights in the kitchen to give it a clean, modern finish, along with new lighting in the dining room — which is currently in the middle of being redecorated and already starting to come together nicely.

If you’re looking to upgrade your lighting, improve security, or modernise your space, feel free to get in touch.

Social media’s been a bit quiet lately—but that’s because I’ve been flat out on the ground carrying out 20+ EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) over the past few weeks 🔍⚡

It’s not the most exciting content to post, but it’s essential work. I’ve been completing these for high street estate agents, private landlords, and homeowners—making sure installations are safe and up to standard.

It’s so important to have your electrics inspected by a qualified electrician who is NAPIT or NICEIC registered. Just because something works doesn’t mean it’s safe. For example, your system needs to trip within the required time in the event of a fault to properly protect you and your property.

After a short break away next weekend, I’ll be straight back into it with kitchen refurbishments and external lighting upgrades 💡🏡 so keep an eye out for some upcoming posts!

If you need an inspection or any electrical work, feel free to get in touch.

Another great job completed upgrading a new bathroom 🔧🚿

I worked alongside Soldex Aqua Solutions who carried out the full bathroom refit and it’s come out looking spot on 👌

On my side I installed a new bathroom extractor fan with a timer allowing it to continue running after use to help clear moisture and prevent damp. I also fitted two new light fittings including a spotlight positioned above the shower for better visibility and a clean finish.

Really pleased with how this one turned out 🔥

If you’re planning a bathroom upgrade and need electrical work done properly feel free to get in touch ⚡

March has been one of if not the busiest months I’ve had to date. It’s been that full-on that I’ve had to put social media on the back burner just to keep on top of the workload and paperwork!

Today started with an EICR on a rented property in Yeovil for an estate agent. The report came back as unsatisfactory, but all remedial works have been quoted for and are now booked in to get everything up to standard.

After that, it was straight on to a few smaller jobs replacing an induction hob, tracking down and rectifying a lighting circuit that kept tripping whenever the living room lights were used, and swapping out a bedroom light fitting.

One of the highlights of the day though… the customer making me a tea and a slice of cake always goes a long way and definitely doesn’t go unnoticed 🍰😃

Finished up with a quick trip to the wholesalers on the way home to grab materials ready for the rest of the week.

Back at it again tomorrow ⚡️

Security & Workshop Power Installation Completed ⚡

Ive recently installed 2x 50W LED floodlights with integrated PIR sensors, giving the customer strong, energy-efficient security lighting that only activates when movement is detected. This setup improves visibility, improves site security, and keeps energy usage down.

I also installed a rotary isolator to safely supply a LAUNCH Vehicle Lift, ensuring there is a secure and compliant means of isolation for maintenance and emergency situations.

If you need security lighting, workshop installations, fault finding, or emergency electrical work, I’m here to help.
👍🏼😃
