🔨 Curved Dormer Roof Project – Seer Green

A great project completed in Seer Green, where we were brought in as subcontractors to construct a series of bespoke dormers.

The project consisted of 4 fully ventilated curved dormers to the front, with the large sweeping bends achieved using flexi-ply, alongside 4 traditional flat-roof dormers to the rear.

The complete roof structure was:
• Fully insulated
• Felted and weatherproofed
• Finished with an EPDM rubber roofing system
• Internal wall structures fully constructed
• Carefully detailed around the curved sections to achieve the finished shape

The curved dormers presented a few challenges, particularly getting the flexi-ply to form the required bends while maintaining a strong, accurate and fully ventilated structure.

A great example of specialist carpentry and roofing work coming together to create a bespoke finish. 👌

Another one completed in Bourne End 🔨

This project was a flat rubber EPDM roof, something I’ve been getting more involved with recently and really enjoying.

I’ve been gaining more experience with EPDM and lead work, and I’m becoming much more comfortable with both as I continue to learn and develop my skills.

It’s been great getting more hands-on experience with these types of roofing systems, and I’m looking forward to taking on more projects like this in the future.

A job from a few years back 🔨

This bespoke media wall was manufactured offsite by another team of carpenters, and I had the pleasure of fitting it onsite.

Using the Lamello system, we were able to achieve clean, precise connections while keeping the joints completely hidden for a seamless finish.

A great example of how good preparation, accurate fitting and attention to detail can make all the difference when installing .

A slightly different project for me over in Stoke Poges 🍻

I had the opportunity to dress the bar worktop in copper, which was something completely different from the type of work I normally take on.

It was a great project to get stuck into, and I really enjoyed the challenge of learning on the job and picking up new skills along the way. It’s always good to step outside your comfort zone and have a go at something different.

Really pleased with how this one came together — and even better knowing I’ve added another skill to the toolbox. 🔨

A full transformation in Uxbridge 🔨🏡

Really grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project for a family member, bringing together a few different areas of carpentry and joinery to transform the space.

I had the chance to lay this beautiful engineered herringbone flooring, build the new flat roof structure after the owners opened up the space to bring in more natural light, and finish things off by fitting the kitchen.

A varied project with plenty of detail involved, and I’m really happy with how everything came together.

New addition to the kit 🔋🔨

Investing in the new Makita 40V XGT saw — another upgrade to the tools we use on site.

More power, cleaner cuts and better consistency, especially when making repetitive cuts throughout a job. The aim is simple: better tools = better results and a more efficient finish.

Always looking to invest in the kit and improve the quality of work we deliver.

Satin finished Vision Heritage 4 Light doors 🔨

A door installation completed in High Wycombe.

This was my first time working with the Vision Heritage 4 Light doors, so it was a great opportunity to try something new. Really happy with how they turned out — especially the clean satin finish and overall look once everything was fitted and finished.

Another job completed with plenty of attention to the detail 👌
