🚫 MYTH: If a similar extension has been approved nearby, mine will automatically be approved too.
✅ FACT: Every planning application is assessed on its own merits.

While previous approvals can sometimes provide useful context, each proposal is considered against current planning policies, site constraints and surrounding circumstances.

Factors such as scale, design, neighbouring properties and local planning policies can all influence the outcome.

New Project | Educational Facility Expansion

The Ryland Design team has been working closely with our client on Phase 5 of an exciting educational facility expansion, continuing our growing portfolio within the education sector.

The vision is to create a truly mixed-use building, providing new spaces for learning, working and boarding, all brought together within a facility designed to sit harmoniously alongside the existing campus.

We're still in the early stages of the design process, but the client wanted to begin visualising the proposals. What started as an architectural concept impression looked so good that we couldn't resist producing a photorealistic CGI to bring the scheme to life.

The next step is to refine the design, prepare the planning documentation and submit the application before progressing into the technical design and construction phases.

This is a fantastic project with the potential to make a real difference, and we're looking forward to sharing more as the scheme develops.

🚫 MYTH: Listed buildings can't be altered.
✅ FACT: Listed buildings can often be altered, but they usually require careful consideration and the appropriate permissions.
