We are excited to be involved in the restoration of the James Watt and Joseph Priestly statues. We have now completed the cleaning of James Watt and are in the process of surveying ready for any necessary repairs before his return trip to Birmingham.

Thank you for all your assistance to date, it’s been a pleasure working together on this project.

Two iconic statues from Birmingham are now on the next leg of their journey.

After 10 years in storage with Birmingham city council, statues of James Watt and Joseph Priestley have been transported by Allelys from Perrybar to Bletchley where they will undergo refurbishment before being re-installed in 2026.

The 2te and 3te statues were securely packed for transport before being loaded using a hiab and forklift combination.

We look forward to seeing these two statues back in place this year.
