Hope you're all well?

This week we’ve encountered quite a few electrical faults, one of which was a tripping breaker feeding the septic tank pump.

The breaker would trip every time the pump was started.

After some testing we found that the in-rush current from the septic tank pump was tripping the protective device on overload, and after speaking with the manufacturer via our client, it was deemed that a different type of breaker was required.

Once that was replaced and the circuit was tested, normal operation of the septic tank pump resumed and we had yet another happy customer 🙂

This week we’ve been out and about installing outdoor lighting, sockets in a garage, and some very clever smart switch relays to control power to outdoor lighting, allowing our customer to “set and forget”, via an application installed on their mobile devices.

Their outdoor lighting now comes on at sunset and goes off right before bedtime, so you’ll never forget to switch them off!

We’ve had lots of fault finding tasks coming in over the last week.

Most of the faults we’ve encountered have been caused by water ingress, resulting in nuisance tripping electrics, particularly on properties with old outdoor lighting or poorly installed outdoor power enclosures.

We’ve attended site and quickly resolved the issues, getting our customer’s power back on and ensuring their installation is safe to use.

If you have an electrical fault causing your electrics to trip, give us a call or drop us a message and we’ll be out to you as soon as possible 👍

We’ve done a few lighting jobs over the last week but one that really stood out was this amazing chandelier, chosen by one of our lovely customers 👌👌

We were asked to locate it directly above the stair case where there was no light fitting, so we had some fun crawling around in the loft, (not boarded), and balancing on some wooden joists whilst wiring everything up.

The result was worth all the hard work and uncomfortable positions we got ourselves into 😁
