⚽ Proud to support Deeping United U7s! ❤️💙

A huge milestone for the team today with their first ever league match and by the looks of it, they absolutely smashed it! 👏

As a local business, supporting things happening right here in our community is really important to us, so we’re proud to have sponsored the team’s new rain jackets for the season. 🌧️⚽

Great to finally see them being put to use too!

Massive well done to all the players, coaches, volunteers and parents involved. Here’s to a brilliant first season! 🙌

I don't talk about the future of the business very often on here, so I thought I'd be a bit more open about it.

Where do we want LARC to be in a few years? Honestly — bigger, but not unmanageably so. We want to grow the rounds steadily, probably bring in some additional help at the right point, and keep expanding across the areas we serve. There's a lot of ground to cover across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire and we're still building in a lot of places.

More than the size of the business, what we want is to be the name people in this area think of first. Not because we've shouted the loudest or offered the cheapest deal, but because we've built a track record of turning up, doing the work well and being straightforward to deal with. That's the business we're trying to build.

We also want to keep investing in what we offer — better systems, more services done properly, things that make the experience easier for customers. The WhatsApp quote system we've recently set up is a good example of that. You can now get a quote from us at any time of day without having to wait for a call back — the AI handles it. That kind of thing matters.

We're not in a rush. We'd rather take three years to build something solid than try to move fast and cut corners. The early months have taught us that the standard you set from the beginning is really hard to change later. So we're trying to get it right from the start.

Thanks for following along with where this is all going. It means more than you'd think. 🙏

Something we've noticed doing this job is that the outside of most houses gets looked after in bursts. A lick of paint here, a pressure wash of the drive there, gutters when they start overflowing.

There's nothing wrong with that, but a bit of regular maintenance does make a real difference over time. Windows cleaned regularly stay in better condition. Fascias cleaned every year or two don't get to the point where the algae's really dug in. Gutters cleared twice a year don't end up causing wall damp.

None of it has to be done all at once or cost a lot. It's more about not leaving everything until it becomes a problem.

We're a small family-run business covering a wide area across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. We do window cleaning, gutter clearing, fascias and soffits, conservatories, solar panels and more, so if you're thinking about getting the outside of your property sorted, we can often cover a few things in one visit.

We've been trading since May this year, so we're still very much in the early stage of building a name for ourselves in the area.

That's not a bad thing — we're proud of where we've got to — but it does mean we're very aware that every single job matters. There's no long history to fall back on, no decades of goodwill to cushion a bad day. Every customer we have either becomes someone who'd recommend us without hesitation or someone who wouldn't, and the difference between those two things is almost always down to the small details.

Did we turn up when we said we would? Did we actually do the job properly, not just quickly? Did we communicate well? If something wasn't quite right, did we sort it out without being asked?

We think about those things a lot. Not in a stressed way, more just as a standard we hold ourselves to. We want people to feel confident booking with us — not just the first time, but the second and third time, and then when they recommend us to their neighbour.

Reputation in a local area is built slowly and can be damaged quickly. We're very conscious of that. It means we sometimes take a bit longer on a job than we might need to, or we'll go back to double-check something, or we'll be in touch to follow up after a new customer's first clean.

It's not complicated. It's just about caring enough to do it right. 🏡

September's a good time to start thinking about gutters before autumn properly kicks in.

Once the leaves start coming down in October and November, gutters can block up pretty quickly, especially if there's already a bit of build-up from over the summer. Moss from the roof, seeds, general debris, it all sits in there and when the leaves land on top of it, it compacts down fast.

Getting them cleared either now or in late autumn once most of the leaves are down is a sensible approach. The late autumn clear is probably the more important of the two. Getting everything out before winter means water can drain properly rather than freezing in blocked sections.

We'll be getting busy with gutter work from October onwards, so it's worth getting in touch now if you want to get a slot sorted rather than leaving it last minute.

We cover a lot of ground across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, give us a message and we'll sort a quote for you 🍂

Two services we get asked about less often than windows and gutters, but are just as worth doing — solar panels and conservatory cleaning.

On solar panels: a lot of people assume the rain takes care of them. And it does, to a degree. But rain doesn't remove everything — bird droppings, pollen, fine dust from nearby roads and fields all build up on the surface over time. The issue is that even a partial layer of surface grime reduces the amount of light reaching the cells, which affects how well the panels perform.

We clean solar panels using pure water only — no chemicals, no abrasive tools — which is what manufacturers recommend. It removes the surface build-up properly without any risk of damage to the panels or the coating on the glass. It doesn't need doing constantly, but if yours haven't been cleaned since they were installed it's probably time.

On conservatories: these tend to get forgotten because the deterioration happens gradually. The glass picks up algae, the frames get grimy, the roof panels go from clear to a sort of murky green — and because it happens over months you almost stop noticing it.

A proper clean covers the glass, frames and roof and makes a real difference to how much light gets through, which is rather the whole point of having one.

Both are jobs we do as a standalone visit or alongside a window clean if you're already having us round anyway. ☀️🌿

Just a quick one on this because it comes up when we talk to people about solar panel cleaning.

Some cleaning methods use detergents or chemicals to shift the dirt, and on the face of it that sounds reasonable. But most solar panel manufacturers specifically recommend against it. Chemicals can damage the coating on the glass over time, and if any residue is left behind it can actually attract more dirt rather than less.

Pure water is the recommended method because it's gentle, leaves no residue, and draws the surface dirt away as it dries. No risk to the panels, no chemical run-off, and the finish is genuinely clean rather than just shifted around.

We only ever use pure water on solar panels, the same system we use for window cleaning. It's the right tool for the job and keeps things as the manufacturer intends.

Worth knowing if you've had quotes from people offering different methods. Feel free to drop us a message if you've got any questions about it ☀️

Something we've tried to be intentional about since we started is actually stopping to notice when something goes well.

When you're running a small business, especially in the early stages, there's always a long list of things still to do. More customers to find, more rounds to build, more things to set up and figure out. It's very easy to be so focused on what's ahead that you completely gloss over the progress you've already made.

First time someone booked us after seeing a post. First proper five-star review. First customer who came back and booked again without us having to prompt them. First month where the numbers genuinely looked good. None of those are huge on their own, but each one of them mattered.

We try to actually say "that's a good thing, let's acknowledge it" rather than immediately moving on to the next problem. It doesn't have to be a big celebration — sometimes it's just one of us saying to the other "we're doing alright, aren't we." But it matters.

Building something from scratch is hard, and most of the people around you won't always understand exactly what you're going through. So you have to be your own cheerleaders a bit. Celebrate the progress, learn from the setbacks, and keep showing up.

That's really all there is to it. 🥂
