Well what can I say about the last 2 weeks...

My nephew Bobby came with us for his work experience and I just wanted to let him now how proud I am of him, he had the option to just shadow us and watch, but he chose to work, he chose to help, he chose to be a part of the team. Everyone has loved having him on site.

He's helped with 3 roofs and some some timber framing, all heavy hard work, with only one day demanding a sleep in the van on the way home 🤣.

On the last day today i let him have a go with the nail gun (under strict supervision of course) although given my track record I'm not really sure that counted for much.

Bobby, I hope I've given you an insight into the virtues of hard work, determination and pure grit. Whatever you decide to do going forward in life, if you take the same attitude and ethic as you have this fortnight, there's NO doubt that you will succeed.

A learned story on knowing when to listen to your body and block out the external noise...

And know that it's ok to just go in, sit down and have that cup of tea! It may be the difference between making or breaking your moment. ☺️

A story that I treasure...

About 18 months ago, I pulled my back and could barely get dressed, but needed to go into work on a Saturday to finish a roof.. Henry watched me shuffle around getting ready...
"What are you doing daddy??, you can't be going to work like that??"

"I've got to, I need to get done today"

Henry sighs and walks off... Comes back in his J P uniform and says "come on then, you tell me what to lift and I'll do all that for you"... 😍😍

Wow. What a year 2025 has been, kitchens, bedrooms, doors, skirtings, studwork, kitchens, media walls, roofs, oak porches, kitchens, flooring, garden rooms, kitchens... We've done it all, with alot of kitchens thrown in. 🤣.

Thank you to all past present and future customers for all your support this year. We started of as a 2 person operation, went down to 1 for a short period, back to 2, then to 3, then back down to 2. We are still looking for that 3rd person to join us in the new year.
