Suction Excavation UK is one of the leading providers of Suction Excavators across the UK. We operate vehicles from 14tonnes right up to 32tonnes. Each machine is unique with different fan arrangements, compressor sizes, standard or MEGA hydraulic arms, IKE systems, computer programmable height and slew restrictors, hydrostatic drive, safety lighting system, left hand tipping, right hand tipping, or rear tipping.
Suction Excavation UK strive to continue improving site safety across a wide range of industries. SEUK has continued to grow exceptionally fast, going from 1 truck to 28 in the short space of 4 years.

Summary of Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV/Plant Fitter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our Suction Excavators, ensuring that our fleet remains in optimal working condition.
This role involves working both independently and collaboratively with our team of professionals.
You will also support the team by attending sites when needed to complete any works required across the country

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections on Suction Excavators.
· Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs
· Support the scheduling and coordination of team-wide maintenance routines
· Perform preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment.
· Use internal systems to log inspections and maintenance activity
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
· Work as part of a team and assist with general mechanical duties as required
· Training is available to gain a better understanding of our Mobile plant
· Flexible working is a must for this role with Weekends, Evenings and additional hours available to work around the vehicles reducing downtime where possible

What We’re Looking For:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical fitting (plant, HGV, or industrial equipment)
· Confident in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on HGVs, mainly working on the Plant side of the Suction Excavator.
· Comfortable using computer systems to update maintenance records
· Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
· Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

Double collection this morning from Rivard with 2 brand new Rivard vacuum excavators added to the fleet. 👌

A huge thank you to EXVAC UK for another great handover and continued support.

This latest delivery now expands our fleet to 49 vacuum excavators, with another delivery arriving this afternoon.

The growth throughout 2026 has been incredible, and it’s all down to the hard work from everyone involved, winning new contracts and building strong relationships with new and existing clients.
