Built for learning. Fitted for the future.

Deanestor manufactured, supplied and installed bespoke fitted furniture across 229 rooms at the new Dumfries High School, supporting a modern learning environment for more than 930 pupils.

From science laboratories and art studios to craft, design and technology spaces, our furniture was tailored to each department’s needs.

Working closely with Morgan Sindall Construction and the wider project team, we completed installation in April 2026.

Bespoke School Furniture Fit-Out at Peebles High School

Deanestor manufactured, supplied and installed bespoke school furniture for more than 165 rooms at the new £61m Peebles High School, commissioned by Scottish Borders Council.

Our furniture fit-out included general and specialist teaching spaces, reception areas, art rooms and CDT rooms.

Deanestor worked closely with BAM Construction, architects and other project stakeholders to coordinate a phased installation while the existing school remained operational.

The result is a cohesive, practical and high-quality learning environment designed to support flexible and collaborative teaching.

We're pleased to announce that Deanestor has successfully passed its annual SSIP audit with Once for All, reaffirming our commitment to the highest standards of health and safety, compliance, and risk management.

The Once for All SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) certification independently verifies that our health and safety management systems meet a recognised set of industry standards, giving our clients and partners added confidence in the way we work.

Deanestor is pleased to announce that we have achieved two new Constructionline Building Safety Act certifications:

• Building Safety Act, Standard Construction
• Building Safety Act, High Risk Buildings

These certifications demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance, recognising that we have the policies, procedures and organisational competence required to meet the UK's Building Safety Act requirements.

Achieving the Higher Risk Buildings certification also strengthens our ability to support complex, highly regulated projects across the UK.

The assessment recognises that we have the policies, processes and organisational competence in place to meet the latest Building Safety Act requirements, giving our clients confidence that we're committed to delivering safe, compliant projects.

We are proud to have delivered bespoke fitted furniture for Timber Yard Bristol, a major purpose-built student accommodation development in Bristol’s Temple Quarter.

Our scope included furniture for more than 700 student bedrooms and studios, alongside communal kitchens and shared spaces. Designed, manufactured and installed by Deanestor, the furniture package was created to maximise space, functionality and durability for modern student living.

Commenting on Deanestor’s contribution to the project, Mark Jones, Development Director of Studio Hive, said: “Deanestor successfully supported the delivery of over 700 student rooms at Timber Yard Bristol. Their team demonstrated a strong understanding of the design and operational requirements of modern student accommodation, providing bespoke furniture solutions that maximised space, functionality, and durability throughout both cluster flats and studio apartments. Deanestor worked collaboratively with the wider project team throughout the project, and the finished furniture has contributed significantly to the overall quality and appeal of the development.”
