🏔️ They Did It! The TIS Team Conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge! 🥾💪

At the weekend, our brilliant team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, hiking 24 miles and scaling over 1,500 metres of ascent - all to raise money for our charity partner Footprints Conductive Education Centre

Through wind, rain, and very sore legs, they pushed through with determination, team spirit, and a whole lot of grit - all in the name of making a difference.

And they’re off! 🥾🏔️

Our determined team from TIS set off early this morning on an incredible journey — taking on the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of a cause that means so much to us.

Over recent weeks, many steps and countless miles have been walked in preparation. Now it’s time for the real thing: a 24-mile trek scaling Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with a total ascent of 1585m!

But this challenge is about much more than just the physical feat — it’s about raising vital funds for Footprints Conductive Education Centre a charity that transforms the lives of children living with mobility and communication difficulties across the East Midlands.

Footprints empowers children, aged 6 months to 11 years, to achieve their potential through Conductive Education — helping them learn life skills that many of us take for granted. Their incredible work supports not only the children but also their families, building confidence, resilience, and hope.

We’re inspired by the teamwork, resilience, and community spirit this challenge represents — values we hold close at TIS.

This week at TIS, we came together to reflect, support, and strengthen the conversations around mental health. With this year’s theme of Community, we focused on how small acts - checking in, listening, showing kindness - can have a big impact.

Throughout the week, we shared resources, stories, and challenges to encourage open conversations and remind our team that no one has to go through tough times alone.

A huge thank you to our brilliant People & Culture team, our mental health first aiders, and every TIS team member who showed up, shared, or supported someone this week. 💬

🐣💛 Spreading Easter Joy with Footprints 💛🐣

This Easter, our incredible TIS team came together to support our charity partner, Footprints Conductive Education Centre, in the sweetest way possible!

We ran an Easter Egg Appeal, with team members donating chocolate eggs to bring smiles to the amazing children supported by Footprints. Alongside that, we hosted a raffle, bake sale, and Easter games—raising over £350 to help fund their life-changing work.

Footprints told us, “The children were so happy to receive the eggs” and “Thank you so much for all of your amazing support.”

A huge thank you to everyone at TIS who got involved—your kindness and generosity made a real difference this Easter. 🌷🐰🍫

🌟 Celebrating High Performance Club Winner: Dion Walton! 🌟

At TIS, we encourage every employee to be a cultural representative, building trust, improving communication, and supporting our objectives. Dion Walton embodies this role perfectly, consistently going above and beyond to support his team and customers.

During the takeover of a contract with a new customer - a complex project involving new systems and challenging site knowledge - Dion provided daily guidance and assistance to colleagues, even outside of regular hours. Regardless of the time, Dion ensured any issues were resolved quickly, instilling confidence in both the team and the client.

His efforts have been widely praised by the maintenance managers and site members at the customer, with his involvement ensuring jobs were completed on time and maintaining a strong client relationship. Dion’s dedication to providing daily support, guidance, and reassurance has made a significant impact on the working environment and customer experience.

🌟 Celebrating High Performance Club Winner: Michael Romano! 🌟

At TIS, success and customer satisfaction rely on clear communication and well-executed strategies. Michael Romano has gone above and beyond to embody these values during a challenging period.

With colleagues on annual leave and an influx of faults across multiple sites, Michael not only managed his own workload but also proactively picked up additional faults near his sites and even assisted full-time for a couple of days. His efforts were vital in bringing the workload back to a manageable level, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.

As an apprentice primarily focused on installations, Michael demonstrated remarkable versatility by stepping into service roles when needed. This highlights both the effectiveness of the TIS Academy and Michael’s impressive growth. His 1% actions - taking ownership, adapting under pressure, and problem-solving - made a tangible impact on the team and reinforced the high standards we deliver to our customers.

🌟 Celebrating High Performance Club Winner: Harley Copley! 🌟

Since joining TIS, Harley has consistently demonstrated the core values of our Premium Service Strategy, showing unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. His proactive attitude and willingness to step up in challenging situations truly set him apart.

He recently tackled the complex task of restoring a server at the Royal Armouries under significant pressure. He was then required urgently onsite with another customer, where a large part of the building had no Wi-Fi and its care units were down. Despite limited experience with these systems, Harley stepped in, staying late and making numerous calls for support until the issue was fully resolved. His efforts ensured minimal disruption to the customer’s operations.

Harley’s dedication, problem-solving skills, and determination to go the extra mile make a huge difference to our customers’ experience. Recognised by both clients and colleagues, Harley embodies what it means to deliver Premium Service.
