I think I’ve found a game changer for bead removal… 👀

I’ve tried plenty of different ways over the years, but this little tool gets behind the bead ridiculously well and makes the whole job feel so much easier.

One of those simple things that makes you wonder why you didn’t start using it years ago. 😂

Anyone else using one of these, or have you got something even better?

Let’s see what everyone’s using 👇👊

Following on from the last video… here’s how to actually change the window handle. 👊

Getting the window open is only the temporary bit — if the handle has failed and won’t lock properly, it needs replacing.

Nice simple job, but another handy little bit of knowledge if you’ve never done one before.

Handle won’t handle anymore? 😂

This is just a little tip to show how you can get the window open when the handle has failed.

Once opened, the handle will still operate the mechanism, but it won’t lock securely, so this isn’t a permanent repair — a new handle will be needed.

Just a handy little trick for getting yourself out of trouble without damaging the window. 👊

35 years doing this job… and I’ve only just learnt this. 🤦‍♂️😂

A really simple way of finding the cutting angle for fascia board on bay tops.

I’ve always managed without it, but since someone showed me this little trick it’s an absolute game changer.

Just goes to show, no matter how long you’ve been doing the job, there’s always something somebody else can teach you. 👊

Anyone else been doing it this way for years while I’ve been making life difficult for myself? 😂👇

A slightly longer one for anyone who likes seeing the full process 👀

There’s a lot more to fitting a door properly than simply taking the old one out and sticking the new one in.

From preparing the opening, getting everything level and positioned correctly, fixing the frame, hanging and adjusting the door, then sealing and finishing everything off properly — every little stage matters.

This one’s a bit longer than my usual quick tips, but I wanted to show the process properly rather than cut all the useful bits out.

Hopefully there’s something in here that helps someone, whether you’re learning the trade or you’ve been doing it for years. 👊

And as always, if you do anything differently, stick it in the comments. We all learn from each other.

One for the old-school fitters this afternoon … 👀

No clues from me 😂

Who knows exactly what this is used for?

And more importantly… who’s got one in worse condition than mine? 🤣

Mine’s actually had a pretty easy life compared to some I’ve seen over the years, so I want to see the proper battle-scarred ones.

Stick a photo in the comments if you’ve got one 👇👊

Sometimes you don’t realise quite how much difference new windows and a door make until you see the before and after side by side 👀

Nothing over the top, just a proper transformation that freshens the whole front of the house up 👊

Bit of a different one from me today 😂

Most of the time you see windows, doors, fitting tips and me waffling about something trade related…

But every now and then I think it’s good to show a bit of the bloke behind all that as well.

Just me, family, work, life and trying to juggle the bloody lot like everyone else. 😂

Normal window nerdiness will resume shortly 👊🤣

When the window sections just won’t disconnect… 👀

Sometimes you’ve got no choice but to cut the frame out in sections.
