Following on yesterday's post about the lawnmower dumped over the Quayside into the mud.

If anyone recognises these public spirited citizens - please remind them that the Town Council take good care of the Community Garden, that sustainability is not helped by dumping an electric lawnmower in the mud, and that little goes un-noticed.

That also goes for those who thought that taking property from the Club Compound yesterday to adorn the Sea Wall and Community Garden was a fun idea.

For those who are enjoying the good weather by jumping off the Quay - just be aware that there may be obstacles lurking in the mud. We try our best to remove hazards when we see them but they are only visible at low water and are invisible when the tide is in.

We are having a lovely summer and it is great to see so many families enjoying the beach and the water responsibly - just a shame about the irresponsible few.

Are you planning to enter a team in the Tug of War as part of the Manningtree Town Regatta Mud Sports on Sunday 17th July (from 10am)?

If you are - Neptune is waiting to hear from you!

Teams of up to eight - £10 per team to enter. Men's and Women's Teams. The trophies are indescribable - the mud is as muddy as ever but it will wash off!

The Manningtree Beer Festival kicks off tonight down by the sailing club from (edit 😬) 5.30pm-9.30pm and tomorrow from 1pm-9.30pm, but we have MORE excitement too. On SATURDAY from 11am-4pm there will be craft market stalls, street entertainment, spoken word and live music on South Street. Please come along and enjoy this FREE event, put on for the very special people of our tiny town and district. Running order is on Winyls website www.winyl.co.uk under events.

Don’t think that your electrics are okay just because your items work. That was my third house this year that had no earth for the property! Scary how dangerous some places are. 🔥
