☀️ SOLAR & BATTERY STORAGE INSTALLATION UPDATE 🔋

Great progress today from our Renewables Team on this new-build residential project.

✅ Solar panels and mounting system installed across three sides of the roof
✅ 18kW solar PV array
✅ 20kWh battery storage
✅ Panels and cable trays installed, ready for DC wiring
🔜 Inverter, battery storage and gateway installation next

For this project, we’ll be installing Sigenergy equipment, including a gateway to provide whole-home backup capability, helping maintain power to the property during a grid outage, subject to the system design and available battery/solar capacity.

Once complete, the system will allow the client to generate, store and intelligently manage their own energy, reducing reliance on the grid and maximising the benefit of their solar generation.

As an MCS certified and NICEIC Approved Contractor, our team can deliver the complete solar PV and battery storage installation, from initial design and DNO requirements through to installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

☀️ Renewable Energy Project Underway in Alderley Edge

Great progress from our Renewable Energy Team on this new-build property in Alderley Edge.

We’re currently installing a substantial in-roof solar PV and battery storage system, with the solar array integrated across three sides of the roof to maximise the available roof space and energy generation.

The in-roof system provides a clean, integrated finish that works particularly well on a new-build property, while the 20kWh battery storage will allow more of the energy generated on site to be stored and used when required.

External Bar Lighting & Power 🍸⚡

Another project completed for one of our Manchester city centre hotel clients, providing the electrical installation for their new external coffee and bar area.

Working within the client’s cost parameters, our team provided a practical installation that delivers everything required while keeping the finish in keeping with the timber structure.

Works included:

• New power supplies and distribution
• Power points for bar equipment
• Internal and external lighting
• LED feature lighting to enhance the appearance of the bar
• Surface containment and accessories
• Testing and commissioning

A relatively small project, but a good example of how we can work with our clients to provide the right solution for the space and available budget.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Today our team completed the removal of an obsolete 400A three-phase section panel and installed a new Hager 400A TPN section panel.

Works completed today included:
• Removal of the existing obsolete section panel
• Re-termination of the existing 185mm² submain
• Installation of a new Surge Protection Device (SPD)
• Trunking, glanding and containment prepared ready for tomorrow’s second fix and final circuit terminations

Working to a tight programme, we’re ensuring this iconic hotel’s kitchen remains out of operation for the shortest time possible, minimising disruption while delivering a safe, compliant, and future-proof electrical installation.
