✨ A few feature walls from this recent 4-bed property! ✨
I had a bit of a wallpaper nightmare on this job 😅 — unfortunately, two lots had to be changed due to the quality being so poor. Then I had the stress of waiting in for deliveries and time frame of the delivery as some came from another country.
The pink bedroom wallpaper was £60 a roll and paste-the-wall, so you’d expect it to be fantastic. However, after checking the reviews before installation, I found lots of complaints about the colour wiping off — and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened around the seams. 😩 Absolutely Not good good enough and I added my own review to this.
Despite this, I managed to get a good finish, but it’s frustrating knowing there are tiny imperfections that are completely outside of my control. To stand back and look it's seamless but to myself as a perfectionist it's just not good enough!
👉 My biggest piece of advice to clients: PLEASE check the reviews before purchasing wallpaper! Even expensive, paste-the-wall wallpaper isn’t necessarily good quality. I’m always happy for you to consult me beforehand too, as I can often advise on what will be easier to work with.
The palm wallpaper from the same company, on the other hand, was absolutely brilliant! 🌴
Thankfully, the finished walls look gorgeous — but this job definitely taught us that good wallpaper makes a BIG difference! 💕🎨
