Unpopular opinion: Cover Stain is better than BIN for blocking water and rust stains on ceilings.

Story time.

Last year, I was using BIN on a job and ran out halfway through. I went to the store, and the closest thing they had was a gallon of Cover Stain.

I grabbed it, brought it back to the job, and honestly, it seemed to block the stains better than the BIN did.

Maybe it was a fluke. I am not saying one experience settles the debate. I am just sharing what I personally saw on that job.

Ever since then, when I see these two sitting next to each other on the shelf, I am grabbing the Cover Stain.

That being said, it is still BIN for the win, so I always keep a gallon on deck. Different situations call for different products, and you need more than one tool in the tool shed.
