One thing we've learned over the years is that great ideas are worth their weight in gold.

We'd like to thank Rosemary Plum and the team at 9Ways Digital Media for the brilliant creative work they produce for our LED signboard.

Rosemary consistently comes up with fresh ideas that help us stand out and keep our messaging relevant and engaging. Our latest World Cup-themed creative, including a message wishing the England team good luck, is another excellent example. 👏⚽🏆

The signboard has become a real asset for our business. Thousands of people pass it each week, and having eye-catching, professionally designed content ensures we're making the most of that opportunity.

It's easy to underestimate the work that goes into creating effective marketing, but the impact is clear to see. We're incredibly grateful for Rosemary's creativity, support and dedication over the years.

Hitting over 1 million YouTube views is a milestone I never imagined when we first started investing in video content.

We'd like to thank Stewart Macfarlane and the team at Soup Creative Ltd for the fantastic support they've given Droylsden Glass over the last few years. Their creativity, patience and ability to bring ideas to life have played a huge part in helping us reach such a wide audience.

We'd also like to thank Ryan Bromley and everyone at Kubu Smart Security 🔒 for their continued support and partnership. Working together has allowed us to showcase some genuinely innovative technology to homeowners whilst highlighting the benefits of smarter, more secure homes. Ryan and his team have been fantastic to work with, and we're proud to have Kubu as one of our valued supply chain partners.

Business is built on relationships, and we're fortunate to work with people who genuinely care about helping us succeed. In a world where many relationships can feel transactional, it's always refreshing to work with partners who are invested in each other's success.

Day 3 of the DG Table Football World Cup, and so, we thought we would go with England vs Ghana in readiness for tonight's game.

Anthony was representing Ghana with myself donning the 3 🦁 🦁 🦁 's shirt. Boy its a hot one, despite it being unpopular we'd be grateful of the hydration break today.

Warning, you might want to look away now! 😩

After a warm up kick about the game got underway with kick-off to Ghana.

Blink and you'll miss it.

Anthony racing to victory with a 3-0 whitewash! Let's hope this isn't a reflection of tonight's game in USA. I'm claiming heat exhaustion but I suppose its the same conditions for both teams. 😁

Lets hope Tuchel and the team can put up a better performance than I did today.

Day 2 of the Droylsden Glass Limited World Cup Table Football.

Two games today, next up is Karl representing one of the pre-tournament favourites Argentina against one of the minnows Panama with Dan taking charge.

First to 3 and Argentina come out of the blocks with a goal with the first attack of the match. Can Messi get another hat-trick?

Panama quick to respond with an OG from the Argentinian centre back. Can't take your eyes of this game as the goals are going in at pace with Argentina taking another lead at 2-1. It's going to be all over this in the first quarter with no hydration break!

But wait Panama score a screamer from out wide on the left to level the scores at 2-2.

Is there a shock on the cards?

Day 2 of the Droylsden Glass World Cup Table Football.

Two games today, first up is John representing Congo vs Kevin playing for Mexico.

Congo racing into a quick 2-0 lead against one of the host nations, with Mexico looking at a possible 3-0 whitewash, surely they needed to score the next goal to make a fist of it.

An OG gets Mexico back into the game quickly followed with the equaliser from centre-mid and the fight back was on with the scores level at 2-2

Next goal wins and its tense final minute, who's going to take victory ......?

It's Day 7 of the FIFA World Cup with England taking to the field tonight against Crotia.

Darren has run a sweep stake here at Droylsden Glass with each of the DG team picking randomly teams for the prize pot.

So today we had our first game with Paul representing Canada vs Eugene who was representing Czech Republic.

First to three, Paul (Canada) races into a 2-0 lead only to be pegged back by Eugene (Czech Republic) to level the scores. Next goal looming it was 'Price Right' Paul Richley who takes the win 3-2.

More games to follow over the course of the tournament. Who's your money on to take the trophy and the prize money.

Great to welcome Joel White from Rewired For Men into our Droylsden Glass showroom recently.

Joel and I first connected through the Grafters Super Groups Manchester & Bolton and it was brilliant to have the time and space for a deeper conversation around the work he does in men’s health, wellbeing, and mindset.

What really stood out is Joel’s practical, no‑nonsense approach to helping men recognise challenges early, build healthier habits, and stay mentally strong not just for themselves, but for their families, teams, and businesses too. It’s an area that doesn’t get talked about enough, particularly in male‑dominated industries.

These are conversations I genuinely hope to help promote further not only within our own workforce, but across our wider network, including suppliers and connections who may benefit from the kind of support Joel offers.

Great to welcome Danil Sugakov from Suga Küchen into our Droylsden Glass showroom yesterday.

Danil and I first connected through the Grafters Super Groups Manchester & Bolton and after I visited his showroom a few weeks ago, it was great to continue the conversation this time around sales, marketing, and growth, particularly exploring where TV marketing can (or can’t) fit within a wider strategy.

We’ve been using TV as part of our marketing mix for several years now with strong results, so I’m always happy to share our experience openly especially with fellow business owners who are still in the feasibility stage and weighing things up.

Danil runs a brilliant kitchen business, built around quality design, attention to detail, and a clear vision for his brand. Always refreshing to have conversations that go beyond products and focus on long‑term, sustainable growth.

Of course, no showroom visit is complete without a quick game on the table football which has become a bit of a talking point with visitors. Danil stomped to a convincing 3–0 away victory, comfortably beating the home team… the Manchester Matchday Reds. Fair play 👏⚽
