Canterbury Court Apartments 5 & 6 — Completed ☑️

Another milestone reached at Canterbury Court Apartments 🫡

Our team has been operating across multiple projects recently, and this is just one of the ongoing developments we’re working on.

We’re now just under halfway through the conversion of this old building into 13 modern apartments, giving the property a completely new lease of life. 🏡➡️🏢

There’s a huge amount of work and attention to detail that goes into a project of this scale, including:

☑️ Sound insulation and double sound boarding to all ceilings
☑️ 75mm insulated plasterboard to all external walls
☑️ Specialist damp-proofing works to ground-floor areas
☑️ Fire boarding to communal areas and RSJ steel beams
☑️ Expansion joints installed correctly
☑️ Full plastering throughout
☑️ External K-Rend silicone render system

These are just a few examples of the level of preparation, specification and attention to detail that goes into achieving the finished product.

We’ve still got another 7 apartments to complete, along with more K-Rend work to come, but the transformation is really starting to take shape now. 💪

✨ Going Above and Beyond 🫡

Another recent K Rend project successfully completed and over the finish line! 🏁

It was a pleasure helping Ian and Ann complete the external rear of their home, bringing another part of their long-term renovation vision to life. 🏡

For this project, we installed a full K Rend system to the manufacturer’s specification, carried out by certified K Rend approved applicators, ensuring a high-quality finish that’s built to last. 💎

When we arrived on site, we also noticed the fascias, soffits and gutters were in need of a good clean. Although it wasn’t part of the original scope of work, we believe in going the extra mile, so we cleaned them all before leaving. It’s the little details that make a big difference, and we take pride in leaving every project looking its absolute best. 🧼✨

Check out one of our latest projects – and one that certainly kept us on our toes! 😅🏡

Not every project goes exactly to plan, and this was one of those occasions.

What was expected to be a straightforward mechanical key for the new render quickly turned into something much more serious. As we removed the existing render, we discovered sections measuring around 2.5–3 inches thick had started to separate from the substrate. Further investigation revealed a collapsed timber lintel that was dangerously close to compromising the stability of the entire gable end wall.

At that point, the original plan changed immediately.

This is where having experienced and reliable tradespeople around you really matters. A huge thank you to Jake Longsdale for coming out at short notice to install a new steel lintel, giving up valuable family time in the evening to ensure Pauline’s home was made safe. Your help was massively appreciated. 👏

Although this unforeseen issue added significant time and cost beyond my original quotation, I honoured my original price. I believe your word is your bond, and when I commit to a project, I see it through properly.

The result is a structurally sound gable end finished in a breathable, waterproof silicone render in the colour Champagne. 🎨💎

Projects like this remind us that success isn’t about never facing problems—it’s about how you respond when they arise. We take pride in every job, no matter the challenges, and always aim to leave our customers with a result that’s built to last. 💯

We’re proud to showcase one of our latest rendering projects, completed for Ryan and Chelsea.

Every successful project starts with careful planning and collaboration. Working alongside LJ Plastics, we coordinated the scaffolding so the new fascias, soffits and guttering could be installed before we began the rendering process. It’s this level of organisation and teamwork that consistently delivers exceptional results.

This is now our fourth dormer rendering project within this area, and we’re incredibly grateful that more homeowners continue to place their trust in Team AEP.

For this transformation, Ryan and Chelsea selected K Rend Silicone White—a timeless finish that perfectly complements the black windows, soffits and downpipes, creating a crisp, contemporary appearance with outstanding kerb appeal. 💎

Once the render had fully cured, we returned to apply our premium protective silicone seal. This additional treatment enhances water repellency, helps prevent the build-up of dirt, algae and organic staining, and keeps the finish looking cleaner for longer. This is exactly why we love what we do… 💎

Swipe through the before and after photos of one of the biggest gable ends Team AEP has ever transformed. The difference speaks for itself. 🫡

This elevation had taken years of punishment from the British weather, with constant exposure to wind and rain leaving it in desperate need of attention. Along with the chimney stack and rear elevations, this became a full external restoration project.

A job of this size isn’t just about making it look good—it’s about making sure it lasts.

We removed all failing areas and built the system back up using multiple coats of high-performance polymer render, embedding reinforcement mesh throughout to maximise strength and minimise the risk of future movement or cracking. We also installed four new brick vents to improve airflow and help the wall dry naturally after years of water ingress.

Once the render had fully cured, we returned to apply our premium silicone protective seal. This gives the property an extra layer of defence against the elements while helping the finish stay cleaner and looking its best for years to come.

The finished result is a property that’s not only transformed visually but is also protected for the future.

Projects like this are only possible with a hardworking, skilled team that takes pride in every detail, and I’m proud of every member of Team AEP. 💯

🏡 Another Stunning Transformation by Team AEP 💎

Take a look at one of our latest rendering projects, where we worked with Mick Anwar to give a complete external facelift.

The project involved removing all of the existing render back to the original brick substrate, ensuring a solid foundation for the new render system.

We then applied an R7 primer, followed by a high-performance polymer basecoat with reinforcing mesh fully embedded throughout to help minimise movement and improve long-term durability. All external corners were finished with PVC angle beads, and a clean stop bead was installed around the damp-proof course to create crisp, professional lines and a flawless finish.

The chosen finish was K Rend Silicone Champagne – a timeless colour and one of my personal favourites. In fact, it’s the same colour I chose for my own home! 🏡👌

More and more customers are choosing to have their render sealed, and for good reason. It creates an extra protective barrier against the elements while making future maintenance much easier by reducing dirt, pollen and algae build-up. It’s all about protecting your investment and thinking long term—that’s how we do things at Team AEP. 🫡

This week included an extremely challenging garden wall with multiple curves, finished in K Rend Silicone Champagne. The contrast against the Indian stone has completely transformed the space, making the whole garden feel brighter, cleaner and more modern. ☑️

We also transformed the front of a property by removing the old, tired pebble dash back to the original substrate before applying K Rend Silicone Polar White, giving the home a fresh, modern appearance with a finish built to last. ☑️

Recently, we’ve had quite a few enquiries asking whether we take on smaller jobs… and the answer is absolutely yes! 😃

I can understand why people might think we only take on larger projects when that’s often what gets shared on our page, but the truth is we’re proud of every job we complete, whether it’s a full house or a small repair. Every project matters to us, and every customer receives the same care and attention.

Here are two examples from last week:

🏡 We transformed a garden space with a low-maintenance K Rend Silicone Render in Polar White 🎨. No painting required afterwards—just a clean, modern finish that’s built to last. 🫡

🍻 We also helped Ed at The Lower Buck, Waddington with his exciting new (still secret! 🤫) project, giving what was once an external wall a smooth, tidy polymer render finish ready for its new life indoors. 🙌
