Refurbishing a golf club lounge is a delicate balancing act between heritage and modern comfort.

Our latest design focuses on warmth and connectivity. By opening the lounge up to the wider club house, we’ve created a more fluid social environment while prioritising the views across the course.

Key features include a bespoke fireplace, alongside a suspended acoustic panel lighting feature—ensuring that even in a bustling clubhouse, the atmosphere remains refined and the sound levels comfortable.

Our latest Building Regulation submission: a single-storey rear extension designed to transform the heart of the home.

By introducing a pair of corner bi-folding doors, we’ve drastically improved the connection between the kitchen, dining area, and the garden.

This isn’t just about adding square meterage; it’s about creating an expansive entertaining space that feels as open to the outdoors as it does to the rest of the house. A seamless transition for those summer evenings.

The moment a project becomes watertight is when the architectural vision truly begins to shine ☀️

In this extensive multi-extension project - which has transformed the original site into what feels like a contemporary new build - natural light was our primary material.

Now that the shell is nearly sealed, we can finally see the interplay of the deep slot windows and expansive skylights.

These strategic openings don’t just provide light; they curate views through the building and define the volume of the internal spaces.

The stage is now set for the internal fit-out.

Let’s be honest: back in uni, every second studio project had a slide, a roof garden, or a glass link. Then you qualify, and reality hits—it’s usually fire regs, budget cuts, and planning constraints.

Seeing this slide actually get installed felt like a win for my 20-year-old self. It’s a reminder that even in a high-performance environment, there’s room for a bit of architectural joy. We spend so much time on the ‘serious’ stuff; sometimes you just need to design something that makes people smile on their way to the changing rooms.

Always great to see progress on site!

This loft conversion has been designed as an additional play space for the kids, complete with a separate toilet and dedicated storage.

We’ve designed a number of playrooms, but this one really keeps the kids happily tucked away!

We recently spent a lot of time working through a detailed technical pack on our new entrance extension project.

This is one of those areas that looks simple at first glance… but definitely isn’t. We’ve got curtain walling, a masonry plinth, acoustic linings, and a bunch of tricky junctions tying into the existing building — all while handling a lot of incoming services through the same zone.

Because of how critical it is, we didn’t just rely on one section — we worked up multiple cuts through the space to properly understand and resolve each condition. It’s the kind of area where getting the detail right early really makes a difference later on site.

A good reminder that the “messy” bits of a building are usually the most important to get right.

Great to see planning permission granted for 7 new apartments on a prominent corner site within a conservation area.

The scheme combines new build with the conversion of an existing building, bringing new homes while responding sensitively to the historic context.

It was a lengthy planning process, expertly led by the planning consultant, and a real team effort across the consultant group to reach a positive outcome.

Sustainability has been central to the design, achieving a 64% reduction in carbon emissions compared with Part L 2021 through solar PV, air source heat pumps and MVHR.

Looking forward to seeing this project help revitalise an important corner of the town.

We designed this entrance hallway to capture dual-aspect light, allowing the evening sun to pour into the courtyard and create a warm, ever-changing glow.

Slim Crittall-style windows contrast beautifully against the soft rendered walls, while lush greenery wraps the space and blurs the line between indoors and out.

A calm, light-filled welcome home. ✨🌿

We’re nearing completion of the technical design for our new entrance extension — and the interiors are really starting to take shape.

The focus has been on getting the balance right between form and function, with acoustic performance playing a key role in shaping the space.

We’re preparing to go out to tender in the coming weeks — always an exciting milestone as we move from design into delivery.
