⚠️ DO YOUR ELECTRICS LOOK LIKE THIS? ⚠️

Not every electrical fault is obvious — and some of the most dangerous problems can be hidden behind sockets, switches, consumer units or even inside the walls.

🚨 Things your electrics should NOT look like:

❌ Burn marks or discolouration around sockets
❌ Cracked, damaged or loose sockets and switches
❌ Exposed or poorly protected cables
❌ Loose connections or visible wiring
❌ Overloaded sockets or extension leads being used as a permanent solution
❌ DIY electrical work that hasn’t been properly installed or tested
❌ An old or damaged consumer unit
❌ Signs of overheating, buzzing, burning smells or flickering lights
❌ Water damage around electrical equipment

📋 And if your EICR comes back UNSATISFACTORY… don’t just put it in a drawer.

An unsatisfactory EICR means that issues have been identified that need attention. Depending on the fault, leaving it could increase the risk of:

⚡ Electric shock
💥 Equipment damage
🏠 Serious damage to your property

⚡ A LITTLE REMINDER FROM RW ELECTRICAL ⚡

We completely understand that last-minute things happen and sometimes plans have to change — life happens! ❤️

But please keep in mind that we’re a small, independent business, and last-minute cancellations can have a huge impact on us.

When we book you in, especially for 3–4 days of work, those days are taken out of our diary specifically for your job. If the work is cancelled at the last minute, that can mean 3–4 days with no work to replace it.

We don’t just charge for the time spent doing the job. We have to factor in:
🔧 Our labour and time
⛽ Fuel and travelling between jobs
🛠️ Tools and equipment
📋 Business insurance
📆 Admin, quoting and preparation
🏠 And all the other costs that come with running a business

Unlike a large company, we don’t get paid holidays, paid sick days or a wage when the diary is empty. If we’re not working, we’re not getting paid.

We’re not posting this to have a moan or make anyone feel bad — we genuinely understand that circumstances can change. ❤️

We just ask that if you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us as much notice as possible. It gives us a chance to offer that time to another customer and keeps a small local business like ours running.

Every booking really does make a difference. 🖤💛
