Importance of an annual boiler service!

Removed a 40 year old ideal concord heat only boiler, replaced with Vokera combi boiler. The wall behind was crumbly block so put a sheet of 25mm plywood behind so the boiler has a really strong fixing. Hot water cylinder in airing cupboard removed to create some additional storage space.

A great investment would be to get an outside tap fitted, for just £80 parts and tap included.

Useful for things like:

New sink and tap installation. I really like the Belfast style sinks, nice chunky units.

Also pay attention to the clean silicone job I did to seal the edges of the sink 😁👍

Henderson Heating bathroom installation. I carried out the WHOLE thing. Plumbing, plastering, tiling, electrics. Very proud of myself on this one. 11 days to do the whole thing, and there was a lot of work that took place.

Here is a list of a few things I did for your information:

🎯 Moved all pipes and waste pipes under the floor, so no boxing was required.
🎯Changed the pull cord light to a switch.
🎯Installed an extractor fan, and did the wiring for it.
🎯Bonded over all the holes in the walls and defects in the existing wall
🎯Plastered before tiling
🎯Applied waterproof coating (tanking) to the wall in the shower area, so that even if the grout fails years in the future, the area will be safe from leaks.
🎯All the plumbing first fix & second fix (obviously 😜)
🎯Screwed plywood down to the floorboards before putting the shower tray down
🎯Fixed the shower tray down to the plywood using sand and cement (a lot of plumbers use silicone to fix the tray to the floor. this method is unacceptable and can cause the tray to crack in the future)

We hung and piped up a few radiators today.

Sometimes pipework up to radiators can look messy when not done right. But when we do it, the pipework comes up behind the skirting and comes out of the wall. Will look very neat once the customer has redecorated.
