We’ve successfully completed this flat roof liquid waterproofing system overlay for one of our regular customers in London.

The roof wasn’t draining correctly towards the outlets due to a build-up of moss and algae. Once the roof was fully cleared and prepared, we identified several cracks within the existing asphalt roof covering.

Rather than allowing the existing issues to develop further and potentially lead to water ingress, we applied a liquid waterproofing system overlay, creating a fully protected and weather-resistant finish.

With the colder and wetter weather approaching, this system will help protect the property from further water ingress and extend the service life of the existing roof.

🏠 PROJECT COMPLETE — MALDON, ESSEX 🏠

Another roofing project successfully completed by the GTX Roofing team in Maldon.

The team worked over the weekend to get this property finished to the highest standard. A massive well done to everyone involved! 👏

🔨 Works completed:
• New Rivendale slates installed
• New GRP valleys
• New breathable membrane
• New treated timber battens
• New dry ridge system
• Existing ridge tiles retained, as requested by the customer

The customer wanted to keep the existing ridge tiles, allowing us to maintain some of the original character of the property while giving the roof a complete new lease of life.

With Phase 2 — the rear extension — starting early next year, we’re looking forward to returning and continuing the transformation.

We have successfully completed this re-roofing project at one of our Uxbridge plots. 🛠️

A great result from the team, with a real focus on preserving the character of the property. We managed to save and reuse all of the existing clay tiles, helping reduce waste while retaining the original appearance of the roof.

The works included:

• Existing clay tiles carefully removed and saved
• New breathable roofing membrane
• New treated timber battens
• New dry ridge system
• Full re-roofing works carried out by the GTX Roofing team

🏠 Flat Roof Liquid Overlay – Tollesbury, Essex

A little project we recently completed for a local customer in Tollesbury, Essex.

The existing felt roof was still structurally sound, but the mineral top layer was beginning to perish. Rather than unnecessarily stripping the existing felt system all the way back to the OSB boards, we installed a liquid waterproofing overlay system directly over the existing roof build-up.

This provided a cost-effective solution while extending the life of the existing flat roof and creating a fully waterproof, durable finish.

We have successfully completed this failed roof in Maldon, Essex.

The existing bitumen layer had become badly deteriorated and was failing in several areas. Rather than unnecessarily replacing the existing tiles, our team carefully stripped the roof and managed to save all of the existing tiles, helping to keep the cost down for our customer. ✅

The works included:

Removal of the failed roofing layers
Existing tiles carefully saved and reused
New breathable membrane
New treated roofing battens
New lead flashing
New dry ridge system
New dry verge system
